The 2016 Honda Accord competes against such midsize models as the Chevrolet Malibu, Ford Fusion, Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry, while competitors to the Civic include compact models like the Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus, Nissan Sentra and Toyota Corolla.
Each video in the campaign begins with a fantasy sequence with a hit song interpreted by a different singing group, including a doo-wop group, a girl group, gospel singers and a rock group. The idea, says Honda, is to bring to life the feelings a shopper experiences when they first lay eyes on their dream ride.
Deals being advertised include a 36-month lease on a 2016 Honda Accord for $189 per month with $1,999 due at signing, similar terms for a lease on a 2016 Civic for $179 per month, and a 2016 CR-V being offered at 0.9-percent financing for up to 60 months.
Some of the seasonal programs being offered by other manufacturers include the Summer of Audi Sales Event, the Chevrolet Summer Sell Down, the Dodge Summer Clearance Event, the Ford Freedom Sales Event, the Hyundai Paycation Sales Event, the Kia Top Quality Sales Event, the Zero In On Nissan Event and the Volkswagen Model Year End Event,
Note that most advertised deals are limited-time offers, some apply only to the oldest vehicles currently in stock, and some are available only to existing customers or new customers. Also, offers can vary according to geographic area, trim level of the vehicle, the customer's credit rating and specific lease or financing terms.
Edmunds says: Shoppers in the market for a new vehicle should check with their local dealership for even more special summer offers and incentives.
