First 2015 Jeep Renegade SUVs To Arrive at Dealerships in Late February

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — The first 2015 Jeep Renegade subcompact SUVs will arrive at Jeep dealerships in late February, a spokesman for FCA US told Edmunds on Friday.

"Vehicles are likely to start hitting showrooms by the end of February (and) in volumes in March," wrote Todd Goyer, in response to a query.

The base 2015 Renegade Sport starts at $18,990, including a $995 destination charge.
Other trim levels include the Renegade Latitude, Limited and Trailhawk.

Sport, Latitude and Limited all come standard with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is a $2,000 option.

The Latitude is expected to be the most popular choice for shoppers. It starts at $22,290, including shipping.

The Renegade Limited starts at $25,790, while the top-of-the-line Renegade Trailhawk starts at $26,990. Prices include shipping.

The base Renegade Sport is equipped with a standard 160-horsepower 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission. Other standard items include 16-inch steel wheels, remote keyless entry and hill start assist.

The Renegade Trailhawk, the off-road model, features standard all-wheel drive and a 180-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine linked to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Other standard features include an off-road suspension and hill descent control.

Key competitors to the Renegade include the 2015 Chevrolet Trax, 2016 Honda HR-V and 2016 Mazda CX-3.

The EPA has not yet posted fuel economy numbers on the 2015 Renegade.

Edmunds says: The wait for the highly anticipated Jeep Renegade is about over. It's not too early to get the conversation started with your Jeep dealer.
