2016 Buick Cascada Works Out With Fitness Expert Tracy Anderson

DETROIT — The 2016 Buick Cascada convertible gets a workout in a new video starring fitness expert Tracy Anderson.

Available at Buick dealers now, the Cascada competes against such models as the Audi A3 convertible, BMW 2 Series convertible and 2015 Lexus IS 250 C.

In the two-minute video, Anderson, creator of the popular Tracy Anderson Method workout routine and founder of a chain of Tracy Anderson Studios, walks viewers through a series of tips for "getting summer (and convertible) ready" as she tools around in the 2016 Cascada.

These include protecting skin from harmful UV rays, just as the Cascada's leather seats are protected with UV-reflective materials; choosing appropriate workout songs, made easier by the Buick's infotainment system with 4G LTE connectivity; and walking 10,000 steps per day, analogous to the way engineers tested various features on the Cascada 10,000 times.

There are also tips for choosing practical and stylish accessories for driving a convertible and selecting the right snacks for keeping healthy and maintaining weight.

"The road to getting fit and healthy for summer starts by taking the right lifestyle steps now," said Anderson, in a statement. "The tips Buick and I have developed are so easy to follow, and we hope they will inspire people to take better care of themselves this summer — and beyond."

The Tracy Anderson video is the latest in a series of star-studded promotions for the 2016 Cascada.

As reported by Edmunds, recent campaigns included an ad featuring Ellie Kemper, who headlines the Emmy-nominated Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and the brand's first-ever Super Bowl commercial, starring New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and actress/model Emily Ratajkowski.

Edmunds says: Buick is enhancing its appeal to female shoppers with promotions like this one featuring Tracy Anderson for the 2016 Cascada.
