New Country Motor Plays Cupid With Valentine's Day Contest

HARTFORD, Connecticut New Country Motor Car Group wants to help one lucky person spread the love this Valentine's Day with its second annual Romantic Ride and Rendezvous promotion.

The dealership is asking Connecticut residents to describe in 300 words or less why their beloved deserves to step out in style for a night on the town. Nominations also are encouraged for an exceptional couple whose love is an inspiration to those who know them.

The winners will be whisked away by a personal chauffeur in a new Mercedes or BMW to indulge in a candlelit, gourmet French dinner at áVert Brasserie restaurant in West Hartford Center.

To prepare for the event, the lucky couple also will get primped and polished with a haircut and shave at Kennedy's All-American Barber Club for him and a hair styling at Blo Blow Dry Bar for her.

Local celebrities, including WSFB-CH 3's Meteorologist and Host Scot Haney, WTIC-FM Afternoon Host Damon Scott and Tim Parker, vice president of New Country Motor Car Group, will select the winners.

Parker will read some of the letters on Scott's radio show the day before the winner is announced.

"This isn't traditional marketing but we are aligning ourselves with a community that's filled with caring, kind people and this promotion brings that out," Parker told Edmunds.

All entries must be received by Thursday, February 12. The winning couple will be announced on Saturday, February 14th and have a month to redeem the prize.

Participants must be 18 years or older.

"It is very heart-warming to hear all of these romantic stories and for a few hundred dollars, the dealership gets to be a part of a special experience for a great couple, " Parker said.

Edmunds says: Love is in the air, especially at the New Country Motor Car Group showrooms.
