2017 Chrysler Pacifica Production Celebrated at FCA Plant

WINDSOR, Ontario — A celebration to mark the production of the highly anticipated 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan was held on Friday at Fiat-Chrysler's Windsor plant in Canada, with vehicles now on the way to Chrysler dealerships.

The Pacifica will be followed later this year by the 2017 Pacifica Hybrid, a plug-in version.

The Windsor plant continues its legacy as the home of the minivan with the start of production of the sixth- generation family hauler.

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is an all-new minivan. In effect, though, it's the replacement for the previous Town & Country minivan, which Chrysler has discontinued.

Key Pacifica rivals include the Honda Odyssey, Kia Sedona, Nissan Quest and Toyota Sienna.

The Pacifica starts at $29,590 for the base LX model. Pricing includes a $995 destination charge.

Standard features on the base Pacifica LX include Stow 'n Go seats, a power driver seat, six-speaker sound system and 17-inch aluminum wheels.

Optional features include a dual-screen rear entertainment system, automatic emergency braking, a built-in vacuum cleaner and an automated parallel and perpendicular parking system.

Edmunds says: Families in the market for the latest minivan also have reason to celebrate, since the new Pacifica adds a great new alternative to many shopping lists.
