2015 Lexus RC 350, RC F Strike Emotional Chord in New Ad Campaign

TORRANCE, California — The 2015 Lexus RC 350 sport coupe and 2015 Lexus RC F performance coupe are the stars of a new Toyota marketing campaign that's designed to trigger a "visceral connection" with car shoppers, the automaker said on Monday.

The cars are positioned to take on competitors including the BMW M4 and Jaguar XK coupe.

A new YouTube video called "Face Off" introduces the RC 350 with the help of actor Wes Bentley, best known for his roles in The Hunger Games and American Beauty.

"The two are united through the same spirit of adventure," Toyota said in its description of "Face Off."

A second YouTube video, entitled "No Limits," shows the RC F on a racetrack, juxtaposed with images of athletes defying limits with their bodies.

"It draws a parallel between the groundbreaking engineering behind the Lexus coupe and the powerful athleticism it takes to break performance barriers," Toyota said.

The RC 350 and RC F are on sale now at Lexus dealerships.

The Lexus RC fills the hole left by the Lexus SC coupe and Lexus LFA supercar.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers should get an eyeful of the Lexus RC 350 and RC F during major sports programming, including the football halftime show on CBS and the NFL Network.
