Miranda Lambert Is the New Face of Ram Trucks


AUBURN HILLS, Michigan Ram Trucks has announced that country music superstar Miranda Lambert will be the new spokesperson for the brand.

Ram noted in a statement that its relationship with the multiple Grammy and Country Music Association award winner is just beginning and will "continue to evolve" throughout 2015.

"Miranda Lambert and Ram Truck are a perfect fit," said Robert Hegbloom, president and CEO of Ram Trucks. "She values hard work, courage and lives her life to the fullest — the same characteristics that our brand celebrates in our owners."

Ram kicked off the partnership by presenting Lambert with a customized 2015 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn pickup, which she is auctioning off to benefit her Nashville-based MuttNation Foundation, a charity that benefits shelter animals.

Co-founded by Lambert — who has adopted seven rescue dogs herself — MuttNation has raised more than $2.2 million in the last seven years to help end animal cruelty, neglect and homelessness.

The online auction began Wednesday and runs through November 15. In addition to the Ram 1500 — with her signature on the passenger-side sun visor — fans can also bid on a variety of other items, including signed copies of Lambert's CDs, signed guitars and tickets to one of her 2015 concerts, including a pre-show cocktail with the star.

"I have lived my entire life surrounded by trucks even to this day," Lambert said in the statement. "I have also written songs that mention trucks, so I am so happy to be partnering with Ram. And I'm thankful for their generosity in allowing me to auction off a Ram Laramie Longhorn for MuttNation Foundation. It's a cause so close to my heart! I'm looking forward to more exciting news with Ram Trucks in 2015." 

Although Ram's partnership with Lambert is new, the brand is no stranger to the country music scene. A longtime sponsor of the televised Academy of Country Music awards ceremony, Ram collaborated with the association earlier this year on a contest in which fans could win a 2014 Ram 1500 pickup or a trip to the next awards presentation in April 2015.

In 2013 Ram partnered with award-winning country recording artist Easton Corbin on a series of concerts and other promotions for its Year of the Farmer Initiative. For a number of years, the brand has sponsored its Road to the Ram Jam all-star country music concert series. And since 2010 the Ram Country channel has run on the Yahoo Music online site.
