2016 Lincoln MKX Test Drives To Benefit Matthew McConaughey's Foundation

DEARBORN, Michigan Lincoln dealers are kicking off special test-drives of the all-new 2016 Lincoln MKX midsize crossover that will benefit actor Matthew McConaughey's Just Keep Livin Foundation.

For every test-drive taken in the 2016 MKX, which goes on sale later this year, $20 will go toward the Just Keep Livin Foundation. The effort is part of Lincoln's Driven To Give charity test-drive events.

The program is designed to attract shoppers who may also be considering the Audi Q5, Cadillac SRX and Lexus RX 350.

Lincoln dealers will have the option to choose McConaughey's foundation as the first national charity to be part of the program. Through its Driven To Give program, Lincoln has donated more than $4 million to schools and charitable organizations nationwide since 2011.

This step marks the latest collaboration between Lincoln and the Academy Award-winning actor. McConaughey can be seen in advertisements for the Lincoln MKZ midsize sedan and the Lincoln MKC crossover.

The Just Keep Livin Foundation was started by McConaughey and his wife Camila in 2008. It is dedicated to empowering high-school students by providing them with the tools to lead active lives and make healthy choices.

McConaughey starred in the 2011 movie The Lincoln Lawyer and won the Best Actor award for his work in Dallas Buyers Club, which debuted in 2013.

The 2016 MKX debuted at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

Edmunds says: A great way to get some seat time in the 2016 Lincoln MKX and help a good cause.
