The base price is for a Premium Plus model with front-wheel drive.
The 2016 Q3 is expected to arrive at Audi dealerships this summer.
The midrange 2016 Audi Q3 Premium Plus Quattro with four-wheel drive starts at $36,725, including shipping, also reflecting a $1,200 price increase.
Audi's top-of-the-line 2016 Q3 Prestige Quattro is priced at $41,625, including shipping, for a price increase of $2,200.
Changes for the new model year include redesigned headlights, grille and exterior fascia. There are more standard features, including front and rear parking sensors with a rearview camera.
Cabin changes include new Alu-optic MMI or multi-media interface controls and a new cargo cover.
Four new exterior colors include Hainan Blue, Utopia Blue, Misano Red and Cuvee Silver.
The Q3 is equipped with a 200-horsepower 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine with a six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.
Edmunds says: Car shoppers will see a substantial price increase on the popular Q3, but they also get more for the money.
