"Sensus Connect was developed to support customers' growing needs to access infotainment that would be most useful when in the car and is intended to enhance the day-to-day Volvo ownership experience," the automaker said in a statement.
The connected car platform includes 3G connectivity services powered by AT&T, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Internet, phone and text-message access, in-car infotainment apps and 24/7 call center support with in-car roadside assistance.
A free smartphone app is available with every 2015.5 Volvo model. It can show the Volvo's current location, the status of its window and door locks, vehicle's fuel level and more.
