Strategic Vision called the Colorado win in the standard pickup segment as "significant," since it represented "the first domestic leader in over a decade," in the category.
The Mazda 3 took home honors in the small-car segment.
Fiat-Chrysler achieved an impressive victory in the new index, notching the highest corporate Total Quality score for the first time since the study began in 1995. Fiat-Chrysler models took home 1st place in several product segments. They include:
*Fiat 500: Small multi-function car
*Fiat 500e: Small alternative-powered car
*Dodge Charger: Full-size car
*Dodge Challenger: Specialty coupe
*Jeep Wrangler Unlimited: Entry SUV
*Dodge Durango: Midsize SUV
"FCA has incrementally risen from one segment leader in 2010 to six segment leaders in 2015," said Christopher Chaney, Strategic Vision senior vice president, in a statement. "It's hard to not be in admiration of the turn-around achieved by FCA company employees."
*BMW i3: Near-luxury alternative-powered car
*BMW 3-Series Wagon: Luxury multi-function car
*BMW X4: Near-luxury utility
*BMW X5: Luxury CUV
*Mini Cooper Countryman: Tied with Challenger for specialty coupe
Other winners include the Honda Accord Hybrid in the midsize alternative-powered car segment, the Mercedes S-Class in the luxury car segment and the Chevrolet Corvette convertible in the premium convertible category.
Survey results are based on more than 46,000 responses from new car or light-truck customers.
