2017 Dodge Charger Daytona Order Books Open in September

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — Muscle-car buyers seeking a retro look can order the new 2017 Dodge Charger Daytona starting in September at Dodge dealerships.

The 2017 Charger Daytona is priced at $40,985 for the base model, while the 2017 Dodge Charger Daytona 392 carries a sticker price of $46,090. Pricing includes a $1,095 destination charge.

The Charger Daytona last was available in the 2013 model year.

The new version enters 2017 with front- and rear-end bodywork derived from the SRT and R/T Scat Pack. Details include a Satin Black performance spoiler and roof treatment.

Retro paint choices include Green Go and a revised Yellow Jacket color.

The base 2017 Charger Daytona is equipped with a 370-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 engine; the Charger Daytona 392 is equipped with the 485-hp 6.4-liter V8. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard in both models.

Dodge's Super Track Pak adds a stiffer suspension, performance brake linings and a three-mode electronic stability control system with an "off" function.

Cabin details include heated and cooled front seats, gold accent stitching and LED ambient lighting.

Key Charger rivals include the Chevrolet SS, Chrysler 300 and Ford Taurus SHO.
