GAYDON, England — Pricing for the 2017 Aston Martin Vanquish is unchanged from 2016, with the coupe starting at $291,775 and the Volante convertible starting at $309,775. Both include gas-guzzler tax and a $2,825 destination fee.
An Aston Martin spokesman told Edmunds that U.S. dealers are taking orders for 2017 models now, and deliveries will begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
The top-of-the-line Aston Martin is powered by a 5.9-liter V12 engine that produces 568 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. Mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, it propels the aluminum and carbon-fiber-intensive Vanquish coupe to 60 mph in 4 seconds and a top speed of 201 mph.
Handling is enhanced by aluminum all-independent suspension with an electronically adjustable Adaptive Damping System that provides a choice of Normal, Sport and Track modes. Stopping power comes via ventilated carbon-ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers in front and four-pistons at the rear, while 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped with high-performance Pirelli P Zero tires are at all four corners.
For its base price, the Vanquish comes well equipped with common items like a rearview camera, parking sensors, Bluetooth and navigation, while a full leather interior and a Bang & Olufsen audio system are stand-out items. Regular options are essentially restricted to heated and ventilated seats, but customers have an almost infinite amount of colors from which to choose as well as further customization through Aston Martin's Q program.
Edmunds says: The 2017 Aston Martin Vanquish should meet the needs of many buyers in the market for a performance-oriented luxury GT.
