Porsche Rolls Out New Vehicle Delivery Program in Atlanta

ATLANTA — Porsche customers can now place a factory order for a new vehicle through Porsche dealerships in the U.S. and take delivery at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta.

The program is free. Customers coordinate the delivery with their local dealer and cover necessary travel expenses. Reservations are limited and scheduled by appointment.

Porsche is promising a "total VIP experience," including a tour of the facility, an in-depth vehicle orientation with a delivery specialist, a 90-minute drive in a Porsche on the track and lunch at Restaurant 356.

The 2016-'17 Porsche lineup includes the Porsche 911 coupe, Porsche Cayenne SUV and Porsche Panamera sedan.

Special delivery programs are becoming a key part of the buying experience, even for mainstream brands, such as Chevrolet.

Chevrolet dealers will offer a new delivery program later this year at Daytona International Speedway. Customers will be able to drive their first miles at the famed track.

Pricing and eligible vehicles will be announced later.

Chevrolet Corvette buyers can pay an extra $990 to take delivery of their vehicle at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Edmunds says: For many Porsche buyers, this will be the mandatory last step in the process.
