BMW Announces Price Increases on Some 2015 Models

WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey BMW of North America announced what it called a "modest inflationary price increase" for some 2015 vehicles, including the 2015 BMW 428i coupe, BMW X1 SUV and BMW X5 SUV.

The new prices take effect on January 5. The vehicles are on sale now at BMW dealerships. All prices include the $950 destination charge.

The 2015 BMW X5 xDrive50i received the largest price increase. The X5 xDrive50i starts at $71,050, reflecting a $1,000 price increase.

Prices increased $700 on the 2015 BMW X5 sDrive35i, X5 xDrive35i and X5 xDrive35d.

The X5 sDrive35i now starts at $54,850. The X5 xDrive35i starts at $57,150, while the X5 xDrive35d starts at $58,650.

Prices jumped $300 on the 2015 BMW X1 sDrive28i, X1 xDrive28i and X1 xDrive35i.

The X1 sDrive28i starts at $32,150, while the X1 xDrive28i starts at $33,950. The X1 xDrive35i is priced at $40,050.

Prices increase $250 on the 2015 BMW 428i coupe, 428i xDrive, 435i coupe and 435i xDrive coupe.

The BMW 428i coupe starts at $41,700, while the 428i xDrive starts at $43,700.

The BMW 435i coupe starts at $47,200 and the 435i xDrive starts at $49,200.

Key BMW 4 Series competitors include the Audi A5, Mercedes-Benz C-Class coupe and Mercedes-Benz E-Class coupe.

Key BMW X1 rivals include the Buick Encore, Ford Escape and Volkswagen Tiguan.

The BMW X5 targets the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, Mercedes-Benz M-Class and Porsche Cayenne.

Edmunds says: Buyers of these popular BMW models will be dealing with a range of price increases in the new year.
