2017 Aston Martin DB11 Configurator Debuts

GAYDON, England — Luxury shoppers can create their own 2017 Aston Martin DB11 coupe before heading out to Aston Martin dealerships, courtesy of a new vehicle configurator.

The DB11, the replacement for the Aston Martin DB9, debuted last week at the 2016 Geneva Auto Show.

Aimed at young, wealthy American women, the DB11 is described as the most important model in the British automaker's 103-year history.

The configurator puts a major emphasis on fashion, with a vibrant exterior color palette that includes Frosted Glass Blue, Ultramarine Black and Arden Green, a nod to Aston Martin's racing heritage.

Buyers can select a wide range of cabin treatments, including Dark Knight leather and Copper Tan & Bitter Chocolate leather.

Accessories include a four-piece luggage set that can be color-matched to the interior, along with valve caps with the Aston Martin logo, a custom car cover and a battery conditioner.

The configurator provides shoppers with the sound of the DB11's new 600-horsepower 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine.

The DB11, which competes against the Audi R8, Bentley Continental GT and Ferrari California, is priced at $214,820. Pricing includes a gas-guzzler tax and a $2,825 destination charge.

Aston Martin dealers are taking orders now for the DB11. Deliveries will begin in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Edmunds says: The configurator brings the Aston Martin DB11, which is poised to become a style leader in the luxury market, a step closer to your driveway.
