SANTA MONICA, California — Car shoppers might want to consider Nissan to get the best Presidents' Day deals, according to Edmunds.
The Japanese carmaker offered bigger discounts than any other brand in each of the last two Februarys.
The 2013 GMC Sierra is another enticing deal, with several bonus offers available. They include $3,000 customer cash and a $2,000 conquest offer; also zero-percent financing for up to 60 months.
"Automakers and dealers have a lot on the line Presidents' Day weekend because February is a short month," said Jessica Caldwell, Edmunds senior analyst. "This weekend is also the first opportunity for car buyers who missed out on 2012's end-of-the-year deals."
Edmunds notes that Nissan, GMC, Hyundai, Kia and Volkswagen will offer the most notable deals this weekend.
Other good deals include a $1,000 lender bonus offer and $500 customer loyalty offer on the 2013 Hyundai Sonata and $2,000 customer cash or zero-percent financing up to 60 months on the 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid.
