The 2017 GT, an ultrahigh-performance, midengine sports car designed to take on the world's most exotic and expensive competitors, was a sensation at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.
Made by Revell, the Ford GT snap kit contains 14 pieces and can be assembled in a few minutes, the automaker said. The free kit includes an auto show stamp noting that it's a special edition.
A retail version of the Ford GT snap kit, with 29 pieces, will go on sale in April for $14.99. In comparison, the real GT is expected to carry a price tag north of $140,000.
Edmunds says: As a brand builder aimed at pre-drivers, the Revell/Ford snap-together model for the highly anticipated GT is a good idea.
