LOS ANGELES — The redesigned 2015 Nissan Murano SUV starts at $30,445, including an $885 destination charge, reflecting a $1,055 price increase over the 2014 model. Nissan announced 2015 Murano pricing at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The top-of-the-line 2015 Nissan Murano Platinum with all-wheel drive starts at $41,485, including shipping, for an increase of $1,055 over the previous top-of-the-line model.
The 2015 Murano arrives at Nissan dealerships on December 5.
Buyers will pay an extra $2,260 for the technology package on Murano SL and Platinum models and $860 for the navigation system package.
The redesigned Murano gets more expressive styling and an increase in fuel economy. While the EPA has not yet posted official 2015 Murano fuel economy, Nissan said fuel economy has increased 20 percent combined city/highway mpg from the previous generation, in part due to a weight reduction of about 145 pounds.
The 2014 Murano front-wheel-drive model returns 18 mpg in city driving and 24 mpg on the highway, according to the EPA.
The 2015 Murano is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter V6 engine rated at 260 horsepower linked to a continuously variable transmission.
Edmunds says: The changes make for a more compelling Murano, but there's a price increase that goes along with the redesign.
