POCATELLO, Idaho — When Phil Meador Subaru built a new facility for its dealership, it made sure its furry friends were comfortable too, by installing a gated outdoor dog park between its showroom and service department.
The shady 20-by-20-foot space offers a park bench and artificial grass that drains Fido's markings, Israel Walls, general sales manager, told Edmunds.
"There is plenty of room to run," Walls said. "Everyone seems to like that it's here."
The park's presence was a natural fit for the dealership because it often hosts pet-adoption events and it stocks an abundance of dog treats.
The owners, the Meadors, are also dog owners who often have their pet in tow, Walls explained.
"We are focused on creating a wonderful customer experience, and the dog park fits in with this desire to make guests feel more comfortable," Walls said.
Edmunds says: A dealership shows how making others feel like the top dog builds relationships.
