LONDON, England — The all-new Land Rover Discovery full-size, seven-seat SUV will arrive at Land Rover dealerships in the U.S. following a debut this month at the 2016 Paris auto show.
A photo of the Discovery was released on Monday.
A Land Rover spokesman did not respond immediately to a query from Edmunds asking for the correct model-year designation. Pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.
Land Rover said the Discovery will "feature leading versatility, capability and technology," but no details were released.
The Discovery family of SUVs expands to two seven-seat models: Discovery and Discovery Sport.
The new Discovery replaces the Land Rover LR4.
"The new Discovery redefines the large SUV," said Gerry McGovern, Land Rover chief design officer, in a statement. "Land Rover's design and engineering teams have revolutionized the Discovery DNA to create a highly desirable, extremely versatile and hugely capable premium SUV."
Edmunds says: SUV buyers will have a compelling new choice with the Discovery next year. But there are lots of good choices out there right now.
