DETROIT The 2014 GMC Terrain starts at $27,390, including a $925 destination charge, reflecting a $190 price increase over the 2013 model.

The uplevel 2014 GMC Terrain Denali starts at $36,080, including shipping.

For the new model year, the Terrain lineup gets two new wheel offerings and one new exterior color: Silver Sky Metallic. GM says 17-inch wheels are now standard on SLE models and SLT1, while 18-inch wheels are standard on SLT2 and optional on SLE2 and SLT1 models.

Options on the Terrain Denali include a $1,295 rear-seat entertainment system and a $1,900 3.6-liter V6 engine.

The GMC Terrain competes with the Ford Edge, Hyundai Santa Fe and Mitsubishi Outlander.
