DETROIT — As summer heats up, many automakers are running July sales events to help tempt shoppers into local dealership showrooms.
For example, the Cadillac Summer's Best sales event features deals like a lease on a 2016 Cadillac ATS sedan for $279 per month for 36 months with $3,469 due at signing, or a 2016 Cadillac CTS sedan priced at $409 per month for 36 months with $4,459 due at signing.
The Chrysler Summer Clearance Event offers zero-percent financing for 84 months, or a $6,500 combined cash allowance, on select 2016 Chrysler 200 models, and up to $4,000 in combined cash allowance on select models of the 2016 Chrysler 300C.
Dodge is running its own Summer Clearance Event which, among other incentives, provides $500 in Hemi Bonus Cash on specially equipped models of the 2016 Dodge Charger sedan, Challenger coupe and Durango SUV.
Hyundai is enticing shoppers with its Paycation event, with deals like 0.9-percent financing for up to 60 months, plus $1,000 in Summer Sales Cash, on models like the 2016 Hyundai Sonata, the 2017 Elantra and the 2017 Santa Fe Sport.
Jeep promotes its lineup as the Official Vehicles of Summer and is running a Summer Clearance Event that includes zero-percent financing for 60 months, plus a $1,000 total cash allowance, on all 2016 Jeep Renegade models.
With the Lincoln Summer Invitation Sales Event shoppers can take advantage of hot deals like zero-percent financing for up to 60 months, plus cash incentives, on such models as the 2016 Lincoln MKZ sedan and the 2016 MKC SUV.
The Volvo Summer Sales Event tempts shoppers with a complimentary Premier Package — which includes leather seating, a moonroof and a 3D navigation system — with the purchase or lease of a new 2016 Volvo model. The XC90 SUV and Polestar vehicles are excluded, but that still leaves the choice of such models as the 2016 Volvo S60 and S80 sedans, and the V60 and XC70 wagons.
Note that most of these deals are limited-time offers, some apply only to the oldest vehicles currently in stock, and some are available only to existing customers or new customers. Also, offers can vary according to geographic area, trim level of the vehicle, the customer's credit rating and specific lease or financing terms.
Edmunds says: Consumers in the market for a new vehicle should check with their local dealership for even more special offers and incentives this month.
