CHERRY HILL, New Jersey — The 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Special Edition SUV arrives at Subaru dealerships this spring starting at $26,140. Pricing includes an $850 destination charge.

As befitting a spring model, the XV Crosstrek Special Edition will be decked out in exclusive Sunrise Yellow exterior paint.

The XV Crosstrek Special Edition, which is based on the 2.0i Premium model, will be limited to a production run of 1,000 units here.

In comparison, the base 2015 XV Crosstrek starts at $22,445, including shipping.

The XV Crosstrek Special Edition adds a Starlink Multimedia audio system with six speakers, power moonroof, keyless access with push-button start, a leather-wrapped shift handle lever and steering wheel.

Car shoppers have made the XV Crosstrek Subaru's third-best-selling model in the U.S.

Key competitors to the XV Crosstrek include the Hyundai Tucson, Kia Soul, Mini Countryman and Nissan Juke.
