The 2015 Kia Optima Hybrid also earned a five-star overall safety rating.

Standard safety equipment on the 2015 Optima includes six airbags, antilock brakes, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management and traction control.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has not rated the 2015 Optima.

Key competitors to the Kia Optima include the Ford Fusion, Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Toyota Camry.
