The Lincoln MKX has been updated in an attempt to make it more competitive. The 3.5-liter V6 has been replaced with a new 3.7-liter V6 that cranks out 305 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. How much difference does the new engine make for the MKX in a highly competitive segment? We took it to the Edmunds test track to find out. Acceleration was tested with 0-60 and quarter-mile tests, while braking was calculated using 60-0. Handling tests included a timed slalom and two trips around a skid pad to generate a lateral acceleration calculation.
