GENEVA — The 2016 McLaren 675LT coupe will arrive at U.S. McLaren dealerships in the third quarter with a price tag of approximately $345,000, McLaren spokesman JP Canton told Edmunds on Thursday. The McLaren 675LT will make its world debut next week at the 2015 Geneva Auto Show.
McLaren's 14 U.S. dealerships are located across the country, including Atlanta, Chicago, Miami and Beverly Hills, California.
Canton said a formal pricing announcement will be made at the Geneva auto show.
McLaren said the supercar will be available as a coupe only. It is the "most track-focused, yet road legal model in the McLaren Super Series," the automaker said in a statement.
The McLaren 675LT is equipped with a 3.8-liter V8 engine rated at 666 horsepower and a seven-speed transmission. It has a top speed of 205 mph and sprints from zero to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds.
The 675LT weighs 2,711 pounds, 220 pounds less than the 2015 McLaren 650S coupe.
The car will be offered in five "themes," including four custom colors never offered before. They include Silica White, Delta Red, Napier Green and Chicane Grey, along with McLaren Orange.
The key rival to the 675LT is the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
Edmunds says: Car shoppers with deep pockets may want to check in with their McLaren dealer now, since the U.S. allotment is expected to be snapped up in short order.
