If a customer refers a friend or family member and that patron buys a new or used car at Glenbrook Hyundai, the person who made the referral is sent a $100 check.
There is no limit to the amount of names a customer can provide or the number of checks the dealership sends the loyal customer.
"We send out $1,000 to $2,000 in checks every month," Aaron Cox, Glenbrook's Internet director, told Edmunds. "The program's working very well."
The first step is the customer creates a referrer account by submitting an online registration form. Then users can login in to their account and plug in friends and family who would be interested in Glenbrook Hyundai's vehicle lineup. The lineup, of course, includes everything from the Hyundai Accent to the Hyundai Equus.
"By using this registration method, it helps the customer get credit for all referrals," Cox said.
"It's a pretty simple way to grow our business, too," Cox added.
Edmunds says: Money is a good motivator when it comes to seeking reliable referrals.
