WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey BMW of North America is raising the prices on several of its popular models, including the 2015 BMW 328i, BMW ActiveHybrid 3 and BMW X3 xDrive 35i, the automaker announced on Tuesday.

Price increases range from $100 to $400.

The new prices are effective starting October 1.

The 2015 BMW 328i sedan starts at $38,450, including a $950 destination charge, reflecting a $100 price increase, while the 2015 BMW ActiveHybrid 3 starts at $51,100, including shipping, reflecting a $250 price increase.

The 2015 BMW X3 xDrive 35i starts at $46,450, including shipping, for an increase of $400.

BMW's 2015 550i xDrive Gran Turismo starts at $72,350, for an increase of $350.

BMW described the price adjustments as a "modest inflationary price increase."

The 2015 models are on sale now at BMW dealers.

Edmunds says: Car shoppers should be prepared to pay a bit more for several of BMW's most desirable models.
