2016 Toyota Sequoia Arrives at Dealerships, Priced at $45,960

TORRANCE, California — The 2016 Toyota Sequoia full-size SUV is on sale now at Toyota dealerships, priced at $45,960, including a $995 destination charge.

The pricing reflects a $570 increase over the base 2015 Sequoia.

The top-of-the-line 2016 Sequoia 4x4 Platinum model starts at $65,715, including shipping.

This is a carryover model with minor changes that focus on safety, convenience and connectivity.

A new Safety and Convenience package for the Limited model includes a blind-spot monitor, two-position memory driver's seat and memory outside mirrors.

The Entune multimedia units in all Sequoia models are upgraded for the new model year. The base SR5 model gets new standard Entune Audio Plus with Connected Navigation. It uses the customer's smartphone to provide navigation functionality through the head unit.

All Entune units add Siri Eyes Free mode.

The 2016 Sequoia is equipped with a 381-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission.

Key Sequoia rivals include the Chevrolet Tahoe, Ford Explorer and Nissan Armada.

Edmunds says: SUV shoppers in the market for a vehicle that seats up to eight will have the Sequoia high on their shopping lists, even with a price increase.
