"Beautifully redesigned inside and out, the 2016 Sorento is larger than the previous generation and offers up to three rows of seating," the Korean automaker said in a statement.
A single teaser photo of the 2016 Sorento shows an evolutionary styling change. The Sorento gets a larger grille and fancier headlights, all designed to give it more road presence.
A Kia Motors America spokesman told Edmunds he could not provide any more information at this point, including pricing and on-sale date.
Kia said the 2016 Sorento will be available in five trim levels.
The Sorento was revised for 2014. It rides on a new platform that yields more space in the third row.
