2015 Kia Sedona Earns Five-Star Safety Rating From Federal Government


WASHINGTON — The all-new 2015 Kia Sedona minivan earned the top five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The 2015 Sedona received five stars in the front and side crash tests and four stars in the rollover crash test.

It is on sale now at Kia dealerships.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named the 2015 Sedona a 2015 Top Safety Pick. The Sedona earned "good" ratings in all Institute crash tests.

Standard safety equipment on the 2015 Sedona includes electronic stability control, traction control and antilock brakes. Optional safety equipment includes a forward collision warning system, smart cruise control and blind-spot detection.

Key Sedona competitors include the Chrysler Town & Country, Honda Odyssey, Nissan Quest and Toyota Sienna.

Edmunds says: Minivan shoppers should note that the 2015 Honda Odyssey and 2015 Toyota Sienna also earned the top five-star safety rating from NHTSA. The 2015 Chrysler Town & Country earned a four-star safety rating. The 2015 Nissan Quest has not been rated.
