IRVINE, California — Luxury car shoppers in Minneapolis and Nashville will soon get to experience a bit of that James Bond feeling, thanks to the impending debut of two new Aston Martin dealerships.
Aston Martin said on Friday it has finalized new dealer appointments in those two cities, bringing the number of Aston Martin dealerships to 37 in the U.S. This is part of a 21 percent growth in Aston Martin's dealership presence in the U.S. over the last two years.
The growth spurt brings the number of Aston Martin dealerships in North America to 46.
Aston Martin Minneapolis will be led by new dealer partner Morries Automotive Group. The dealership will set up a temporary facility in Hopkins, Minnesota, followed by a new permanent Aston Martin showroom space in Golden Valley, Minnesota. That facility is set to open in the summer.
In the past, Chicago was the closest Aston Martin dealership in the country for luxury car shoppers in the Twin Cities.
Aston Martin Nashville is kicking off a new partnership with Carlock Management Group to launch an initial Aston Martin facility in Franklin, Tennessee. A new permanent Aston Martin showroom in Brentwood, Tennessee will follow before the end of 2015.
"The establishment of these new dealer partners means 85 percent of the high luxury sports market in the United States now resides within 100 miles of an Aston Martin dealership," the company said in a statement.
Edmunds says: Minneapolis and Nashville are in the middle of some impressive growth spurts themselves, as sophisticated restaurants and shops open up. The addition of Aston Martin to the landscape should add even more cachet to the scene.
