The vehicle configurator for the Fiat 500X is live now.

The Fiat 500X is equipped with a standard 1.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine linked to a six-speed manual transmission. An optional 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is linked to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment on all models includes electronic stability control with hill-start assist and seven airbags.

Options include such safety systems as forward collision warning and lane departure warning.

Key competitors to the 500X include the Kia Soul, Mini Cooper Countryman, Nissan Juke and Scion xB.

Edmunds says: The highly anticipated 2016 Fiat 500X comes in at the critically important $20,000 mark, a psychological line in the sand for many car shoppers.
