AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — Dodge dealers will begin taking orders for the new custom 2015 Dodge Viper GTC coupe in February, with production slated for the second quarter of 2015, according to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
The Viper GTC is spun off the GT model and lets buyers personalize their vehicle. The GTC features "one-of-one" design, a personalized instrument panel badge, Concierge service and a Viper Ambassador owner's portal to track the build of the car.
The 2015 Viper GTC starts at $99,590, including a $1,995 destination charge and $2,600 gas-guzzler tax. In comparison, the base 2015 Viper SRT starts at $89,590, including destination charge and gas-guzzler tax.
The automaker said the special model can be custom-tailored with more than 25 unique build combinations.
Options include 8,000 hand-painted exterior colors, 24,000 hand-painted custom stripes, 10 wheel options, 16 interior trims and six aero packages.
Buyers will get a complimentary 1:18 scale Viper speed form replica to confirm their color choice.
Special shipping options for the GTC include rapid transport, or owners can pick up their Viper at the Detroit Conner Avenue Assembly Plant and take a tour of the facility.
Edmunds says: Personalization is one of the hottest trends in the industry. This latest Viper effort should be a hit with buyers who literally want to put their personal stamp on the car.
