Adrien Brody Has Fun With Burnouts in 2015 Dodge Charger, Challenger Commercial

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan — Academy Award-winning actor Adrien Brody turned to burnouts to illustrate the appeal of the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger Scat Packs in a new Dodge commercial.

Smoke fills the frame as the cars are revealed. A voiceover says, "Do you know how hard it is to do a commercial with a Dodge — and not do a burnout?"

Brody directed the new Dodge ad campaign that launched this week for the 2015 Dodge Dart, Durango and Charger and Challenger Scat Packs. All are available now at Dodge dealerships.

The campaign highlights performance, along with the legendary Dodge brothers and their entrepreneurial spirit.

The commercials put the Dodge brothers in a variety of situations, including in the seat of a 2015 Durango while music blasts through the BeatsAudio system.

One commercial dubbed "Morse Code" finds the Dodge brothers in a 2015 Charger. The headlights flash, spelling out a secret message in Morse Code.

"If you know Morse Code and you don't drive a Dodge, you'd be pretty offended right now," the voiceover says. "The 485-horsepower R/T Scat Pack Charger. Their spirit lives on."

The ad campaign is designed to set the Dodge lineup apart from its competitors in several crowded segments.

Key Dodge Dart compact-sedan rivals include the Chevrolet Cruze and Ford Focus.

The Dodge Durango SUV takes on the Ford Explorer and Nissan Pathfinder.

Key competitors to the Charger and Challenger muscle cars include the Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang, Chevrolet SS and Hyundai Genesis.

Edmunds says: Heritage and humor prove to be a winning combination as Dodge hopes to catch the eye of car shoppers with this new ad campaign.
