MONTVALE, New Jersey — The entry-level 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class sedan starts at $32,425, including a $925 destination charge, reflecting a $1,600 price increase over the 2014 model.
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class 4Matic all-wheel-drive model starts at $34,425, including shipping, also $1,600 higher than the outgoing model.
Mercedes’ more powerful 2015 CLA45 AMG starts at $49,425, including shipping, for a price increase of $1,050.
The 2015 CLA-Class vehicles are on sale now at Mercedes-Benz dealerships.
The CLA was a new model for 2014 and gave the German automaker an affordable offering that hovered just above the critical $30,000 price point. The CLA has been a hot seller for Mercedes-Benz, with 24,701 sales through November.
Although there are no standard equipment changes for 2015, there have been a few tweaks to the CLA-Class option packages. Keyless entry is now part of the Premium package. Multicolor ambient lighting is now included in the Interior package.
The carryover powertrain bundles a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine producing 208 horsepower with a seven-speed automatic transmission.
Edmunds says: The CLA-Class is now priced above the $30,000 mark, but that shouldn’t make much of a difference to car shoppers eager to get in on the ground floor with Mercedes-Benz.
