2015-'16 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Track Attack Program Debuts

DEARBORN, Michigan — There's something extra in store for buyers of the high-performance 2015-'16 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 or GT350R.

Ford is throwing in a free one-day performance-driving program dubbed "Track Attack" at Utah Motorsports Campus in Tooele, Utah.

The complimentary program is designed to lure buyers away from Shelby competitors including the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.

The catch is that attendees are responsible for personal airfare and lodging.

"We want owners to really understand the car's capabilities, so we are going to give them the opportunity to learn how to really enjoy the Shelby in a fun and safe environment," said Jim Owens, Ford Performance marketing manager, in a statement.

Students will participate in classroom and on-track instruction from Ford Performance Racing School instructors.

An extra-cost item is a day behind the wheel of a race-prepared Mustang Boss 302 or Mustang GT.

The all-new Shelby GT350 is on sale now at Ford dealerships.

Edmunds says: This is a great way for owners to test the limits of these top-end pony cars.
