2024 Lexus LS

The LS is Lexus' flagship luxury sedan, and though it's not the game changer it was when it launched more than 30 years ago, the premium four-door has a lot to offer consumers looking for a luxurious and comfortable cruiser. Two models are available: the LS 500 with its twin-turbocharged V6 and the LS 500h powered by a V6 hybrid drivetrain. The LS' styling isn't for everyone, but it's certainly unique. Particularly impressive is the cabin, which boasts intricate details in the dashboard and door panels and high-quality materials throughout.

The Lexus LS competes with other large luxury sedans, including the Audi A8, BMW 7 Series, Genesis G90 and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. If you're open to the idea of an electric flagship four-door, add the Mercedes-Benz EQS and BMW i7 to the list.

Being a flagship sedan, the LS serves as a showcase for Lexus' most advanced technology. The Teammate system, which comes standard on the LS 500h, is a Level 2 semi-autonomous driving aid that allows the car to accelerate, steer and brake automatically when engaged. The system can even merge into traffic, change lanes and overtake slower vehicles. Teammate's many sensors also give the LS the ability to park itself in certain situations, with the system able to identify a spot and maneuver the car into it automatically.
