Standard driver aids include:

- Blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning (alerts you if a vehicle is in your blind spot during a lane change or while in reverse)
- Forward collision mitigation (warns you of an impending collision and applies the brakes in certain scenarios)
- Rear parking sensors with automatic braking (alert you to obstacles that may not be visible behind the vehicle when parking; can apply the brakes to prevent a collision)
The Laredo X is pretty much the same thing as a regular Laredo but it has 18-inch wheels and a sunroof.

Summit
The top-level Grand Cherokee comes with:

- Front cross-traffic warning
- Automated parking system (steers into a parking spot with little or no driver intervention)
- Surround-view camera system (gives you a top-down view of the Grand Cherokee and its surroundings in tight parking situations)
- Electronic limited-slip rear differential (assists with maximizing available traction in slippery conditions)
Many of the features found on the more expensive trim levels can be added to the less expensive ones through optional packages. An available Trailer-Tow package adds a Class IV trailer hitch, four- and seven-pin wiring harness, an automatic headlight leveling system, heavy-duty engine cooling and electrical systems, and a load-leveling rear suspension. An optional 19-speaker sound system is optional for the Summit trim only.
