TCI SM (True Cost of Incentives SM) by Manufacturer is Edmunds.com's determination of each manufacturer's average incentive cost per retail vehicle sold in the U.S. for the months indicated. TCI SM takes into account subvented interest rates and lease programs, as well as cash rebates to consumers and dealers — and is based on the proportion of vehicles for which each type of incentive was used. TCI SM does not include dealer volume bonus incentives and dealer personnel bonuses.
