Monthly Fuel Cost (MFC) is Edmunds.com's estimate of the monthly cost of operating the indicated vehicles, assuming 1,250 miles driven per month and based on regularly updated national-average fuel costs. MFC permits the easy comparison of vehicles using various fuel types, such as gasoline, electricity, natural gas or E85.
