You don't buy a coupe for its practicality. Still, if your priority is fuel efficiency, you'll find there are many sensible choices available in this segment.

Listed below are the 10 coupes that lead the segment in fuel economy. We arrived at our rankings by looking at the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) miles-per-gallon ratings for city and highway travel. We used the EPA's combined fuel economy formula: 55 percent of city mpg rating plus 45 percent of highway mpg rating. The rating for each vehicle below is expressed in mpg as a city/highway/combined ratio.

Remember that in some instances, models offer trim levels with varying fuel efficiency. Each model's ranking reflects that of the trim level with the best fuel economy.
