With a wheelbase of 122 inches and an overall length of 204 inches, the CT6 is bigger than the standard-length Audi A8 and BMW 7 Series, but slightly shorter than the extended-length Audi A8L and BMW 740iL models.

This Civic concept might look familiar, but represents an all-new, 10th generation of the Civic. It will be the first Honda to offer a direct-injection, turbocharged VTEC engine in America.

Don't count on this '90s throwback paint scheme to make it to production, though.

  • 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder
  • Six-speed manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT)

Honda Pilot

The last generation Kia Optima caused ripples in the midsize sedan segment thanks to a combination of quality materials, good enough driving dynamics and class-leading looks. Trumping that wasn't going to be easy and so, while all-new, the 2016 Kia Optima looks like a revision on the old car rather than an all-new model. Still handsome, but less of a leader than it once was.

  • 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder: 185 hp, 178 lb-ft of torque
  • 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder: 178 hp, 195 lb-ft of torque

Lexus crossovers are traditionally blandly styled for mass appeal. That changes for 2016. The new Lexus RX does all of the things you want a Lexus to do. The interior is handsome and well-built and it's loaded with features, but now it's got modern, polarizing style that's sure to bring new attention to the brand.

  • Eight-speed automatic
  • Front- or all-wheel drive

Lincoln Continental

Unlike every other car on this list, the Lincoln Continental is just a concept, but it's a strikingly good-looking concept with production looming. The Continental name is returning to Lincoln eventually, hopefully with as much presence as this full-size brute.

The Lincoln MKX is a big step for Lincoln, with a sharp, new exterior and an interior that Lincoln hopes can compete with the big names in luxury. Lincoln is focusing on advanced technology as a brand pillar, and the 2016 MKX has a suite of new high-tech features. In addition to automatic assist for parallel and conventional parking, the new MKX goes one step further by using its ultrasonic rear parking sensors to automatically reverse out of a parking space.

At the New York auto show, Toyota announced some big changes to the RAV4. Exterior tweaks and interior improvements like better materials and cupholders fell by the wayside due to the announcement of the new hybrid powertrain. That couldn't stand for long, so Toyota got to work. Though it's the same size, Toyota says this truck is all-new. Toyota understands its truck buyers, so high-performance off-road TRD models have already been confirmed.
