Acceleration commentsIt's not that hard to overwhelm the rear tires from a stop, but it's counter-productive. Best launch was with minimal pedal overlap and the torque took care of the rest. Upshifts were reasonably smooth and quick but not particularly remarkable in D or DS. Manual shifting was a no-go as driver guessing at the shift time would inevitably lead to a slower time.

Braking commentsThe first cold stop was the best, but effectiveness and fade resistance remained solid. Minimal dive and fast-pulsing ABS were obvious.

Handling commentsSkid pad: With VSC shut off, this car absolutely punishes front tires on the skid pad. Each successive lap was slower and fraught with more and more understeer. Slalom: It may be because I was expecting such a heavy, soft, unsporting performance that this was such a welcome surprise. This thing is good, very good in the slalom. The epitome of RWD dynamics without the threat of a spin. Quick turn-in, adjustable attitude, throttle-sensitive and trustworthy levels of grip and poise. Better than I expected and probably better than it needed to be for the market it plays in.
