  • Unethical dealership. Will make you go in circles, will not honor prices

    1 out of 5 starsby phoenixhonda1 on 11/30/2015

I made two trips to Showcase Honda dealership and both times was greeted with unethical dealership, bait and switch, and unprofessionalism. First time they call me saying that they have a brand new car that I have at the price I wanted. I get there and they show me a used car with 35k miles on it. THen they try to upsell me a brand new one with few thousand more dollars. I left the dealership disappointed. Few days later they call me second time and promise they have a deal at a specified price. I driver over again and this time the person that called me does not show up, instead a different person shows up and quotes me $2K more than what they quoted me on the phone. I am disgusted with their selling practice. Completely unprofessional.

  • Highly Recommended Professional Dealership

5 out of 5 starsby sdpooka on 11/22/2015

Incredible sales and finance staff. Made the process of selecting and buying a simple and easy task. Advised our salesman the budget we were working with and he offered four vehicles that would fit. No pressure, no hard up-selling, very professional group of people. Would highly recommend this dealership.

  • Plan on Waiting.

1 out of 5 starsby erinwise on 09/10/2015

I purchased a 2015 Honda Fit in May from a salesman who quit the next day. I waited 2 months to get the floor mats promised to me by said salesman but after several calls, no one could remember the name of the man who had sold me his car or his promise even though I had text documentation. I had to drive out to the dealership to pick them up and once I arrived, the man working the service desk acted as though I was inconveniencing him during our entire transaction. Last week I received a courtesy call reminding me to schedule my first service appointment. The woman on the phone requested my name, number and vehicle model several times before repeating the information back to me incorrectly repeatedly. She informed me that I was well within the shuttle pick-up and drop-off range and would note in her system that I would need a ride to and from work. The next day, I called to change my appointment to an hour later and was told by a very curt man that shuttle services weren't offered for oil changes and that he couldn't be of any service to me. He hung up before I had the chance to speak with someone else so I called back and ended up speaking with a woman named Whitney who advised that I qualified for the shuttle and assisted me with changing my appointment. This morning, I went to the dealership and waited 30+ minutes for a shuttle to work before realizing that the shuttle driver hadn't even been alerted of my need for a ride. I requested an Uber that arrived 5 minutes later and made it to work 15 minutes late (even though I'd planned to have 30 minutes to get to work, seven miles away). At 11:05, Wyatt called and advised me that my vehicle was finished and that someone would be on their way to pick me up "in thirty minutes." At 11:12, he called to inform me that my work was outside of their pick-up range, stating that the dealership only provided service to people within 10 miles. From Showcase to my office, it's 7.1 miles - something I had mentioned on my initial phone call last week, as well as during my conversation with Whitney AND in person with Wyatt this morning. I alerted Wyatt of this and he said, "Oh. Someone will be out," and hung up. I just called back, spoke with Whitney and asked to speak with Wyatt about the arrival of the shuttle. She advised me that he wasn't at his desk and asked if I'd like her to take a message. Now an hour and 28 minutes later, I'm still waiting on my "thirty minute" pick-up ride and will be looking for another Honda dealership in the valley to service with. Not impressed with the lack of service from this dealership's employees or with myself for ever recommending this dealership to friends/family and coworkers.

  • BUYER BEWARE!!!

    1 out of 5 starsby bill_gibbs1 on 08/11/2015

This was the worst 6 hours experience of my life. I have to believe that the 5 star reviews are from family members and friends as I failed to see one happy customer. Buying a car is never the best time, but 6 hours? I bought a house in 2 hours. This the fifth new car that I have purchased and by far the worst process of all. I would never consider buying from these guys again. Before you go here, read the answers to the few reviews from the Showcase team....they are NEVER at fault. Kind of interesting, the customer is NEVER right? Showcase will never sell another car to my friends or family.

  • unethical salesmanship

    1 out of 5 starsby Naveen2 on 08/03/2015

Went to dealership on 8/2/2015 after I got email confirmation on price and sales person saying they have Showcase Honda GM onsite to approve any deal. Upon Reaching to dealership First they can't find the car in Inventory They asked me to pick another color - I picked to avoid another trip They agreed on price - 3 sales man including sales Manager Started paper work and took my detail. Asked me to ring the bell and they all started clapping and congratulating me Spend 3-4 hours and finally I asked my ride to leave beveling these people. Now come the Surprise person - some Finance guy come and says he can't sell the car Reason for not selling - calculation error My questions to them - 1- I had been exchanging email since last 1 weeks and they confirmed price in email - why didn't they calculate then 2 - In dealership Sales person , general manager and internet director agreed on price after 2 hours of showing them proof of email and discussions. - why didn't they check before agreeing There Answer - 1. Sorry Sorry 2. I feel like bad stomach and throwing up One more surprise I got after that is they pulled my credit with out approvals. Scams to Avoid 1. Don't trust Internet sales as once you visit dealership they act as you are new and start over again -- There way of bringing people to dealership. 2. Don't fall on Credit score scam as they will tell you I need to pull your credit - this is there way of tricking you. 3. Never fall for bell or Dong thing as they make you ring before selling the car to show other - selling tricks. • Very disappointed by the manager's rudeness

1 out of 5 starsby Paulsson on 07/08/2015

For the first time in my car buying experience, today at Showcase Honda I was made to feel like I was not worth the dealership's time. At every juncture, I had to prove that I was serious about buying. The salesperson and manager essentially tried to arm-wrestle me into signing on a blank line to show my "seriousness". When I refused to do it, they told me that they cannot negotiate the deal further. At this point, I felt like this would not be a good business relationship and told them so. Instead of changing their approach, the manager simply told me that there are plenty of other dealerships I could take my business to. If I am going to spend two hours at the dealership trying to negotiate a deal, it is because I am serious about buying and I would not want the dealership question my commitment. Sorry, Showcase Honda. Your employees and even some of your managers need a Courtesy 101 course. Aggressiveness and rudeness will not win you many customers. The manager was right. There are plenty of dealerships that I can take my business to, and I absolutely intend to do that.

  • Great Experience at Showcase Honda!

5 out of 5 starsby TomBphoenix on 11/07/2014

From the start to the finish, customer service was top notch! Daniela was quick to respond to my internet inquiry, Aaron and the vehicle were there waiting when I arrived, and I never felt hurried or pressured, he did a great job answering all my questions. Lui was great finishing up the transaction too, as were all associates I met during my visit (Felix and Mark). I never thought I would be saying that I enjoyed buying a car, but even after the fact, I have no "buyers remorse", I feel like I received a great deal. Thank You to all! Tom B
  • Great Experience at Showcase

    5 out of 5 starsby newhondaguy1 on 07/16/2014

I orignally went to another dealer to look at Accords but they did not have the exact car I was looking for in stock and said they would get it for me the next day. The price that dealer gave me was ok but not great even after a lot back and forth haggling. I went home and looked on-line and found the exact Accord at Showcase. The Internet Price they showed n the website was only $2 higher then the first dealer gave me. I hit the Get ePrice button next to the car and almost immediately received an e-mail reply that someone be in contact. Well, less than 2 minutes later Kevin B called me and gave me a quote that was $1500 less than the on-line price and the other dealers price. I thought about it for about 5 minutes and then I drove straight down to the dealer ship. Once at Showcae, I was approched by a number of salespeople asking if I was there to see anyone specific. When I told them Kevin, they all went off to get him for me. One sales manager quickly brought me over a cold bottle of water. Kevin was very nice in person and brought over Product Specialist Joe who showed me the actual car on which we had agreed on. It had only 4 miles on it. I took it out for a test drive and it was perfect. Unfortunately the dealership was very crowded that day so it took much longer to get through all the paperwork than it might have on a quieter day. Joe and Kevin went out of their way to make me comfortable. When I finally got in to talk to the finance department, I was assigned the Assistant Finance Director, David. He was extremely friendly and outgoing. While he told me about the extended warranties and other options, he never tried to presure me into purchasing anything once I said no thanks. The deal I ended up with was about $700 less then the best deal the Edmunds or KBB shows and not once did anyone question it or try to pressure me into anything else. They even threw in the dealer added items like the window tinting without blinking. Except for the waiting araound, it was a very simple and stress free purchase. I would recommend this dealership to anyone.
  • 2010 Honda Pilot Purchase

    5 out of 5 starsby pilot4pilot on 04/20/2010

Everything was done by phone from San Diego, and then I drove 6 hours to Phoenix to pick up the car. Everything was perfect, we got an amazing deal, and we were at Showcase for no more than 30 minutes, and back on the road. I have bought a lot of cars over the years, and I have never had such a straight forward experience with any other dealer. Steve Marion was incredibly straight forward, no bull, and the best part is that they own many more dealership brands, and all sales people are allowed to sell all brands.
  • We will never go back the them again

    1.8 out of 5 starsby cruiser13 on 04/03/2010

My wife bought a CR-V, and got an OK deal. Nothing great, but OK. We tried on 3 occasions to buy other Hondas from them, and there seems to be a pattern. First, you get a decent or better deal over the phone, but when you get to the dealership, the person who was supposed to meet you just isn't there. You are switched to a new person to "strike a deal" The deal from that person sucks. Either the price is too high, or the trade is absurdly low. They follow you out the door to your car when you leave, and act like [violative content deleted] snapping at your heels. You a told a car is in stock, and when you get there, you find it is not, and they have no memory of it ever having been there. The bait and switch. We went to another Honda dealer the next day, and got a good price on the new one, and $3000 better trade in. Bought it on the spot. 3 strikes and they are out. My wife hangs up on them now, after her last experience with them.
  • THEY MEAN IT DON'T COME TO THIS DEALER!!!!!

1.7 out of 5 starsby smnsangl on 08/16/2009

I wish I had come here first before going to that dealer and having the WORST expeience. They started out nice and gave us the 'VIP' treatment showing us what I wanted to see and as soon as I decided that it was time to go, they decided to turn into scandalous people. I took a car I was interested in on a test drive without the sales guy so they took my moms license and insurance in case something were to happen, he said he was just going to hold on to them. We get back to the dealer and he starts saying that he gave them back, which he never did. He 'misplaced' them telling my mom to check her purse. Than he tells us come back in the morning and we should have found it by then because they clean at night. Went back the next morning still no id and the sales guys manager was there and didn't even come out of his air conditioned tower to offer us his help!!!. They were rude and said oh well just get another one. THEY STOLE IT!!!! Why should she have to get another one? THEY HAVE IT!!!!! My mom called the Phx PD and they couldn't help either but that's what the sales guy said to because they've been there before. Please take my advice and becareful with this dealer and any other. They WILL ALL do whatever it takes to get you to stay there and buy.
  • Worst Experience I ever Had

    1.2 out of 5 starsby rpatrick24 on 07/23/2009

There is no goods salesman at this dealership. We were approached by new, used, fleet and more than one finance guy. There was one particular car we were interested in and it was a used car. I called before hand to negotiate a price and even filled out the online application for preapproval. When we got there to our appointment it was a completely different story. They held us hostage for 5 hours, took our money(cash) for a down payment and still would not returned it and we walked out with no car. Even though we signed a deal they tried add an additional $200 to our monthly payments. I have been trying to contact the GM for 4 days now and he will not return my calls. We went back to the dealership to try and get our money back again. They held us hostage for another 2 hours and said they would mail a check even though we gave them cash. I like Honda's but if you buy one do not go to this dealership....
  • Love My Honda!!!

    4.8 out of 5 starsby katie125 on 07/01/2009

I was recommended to Showcase Honda by a friend who purchased from Deneen. I bought a Honda Element and the experience was GREAT!!! The saleslady that helped was extremely pleasant (Deneen) and very patient with me. I had her pull out several cars and finally decided on one, and as she was half way through the paper work, I spotted the Element outside and fell in love with it. I changed my mind and bought the Element instead. Deneen had no problems with this, she simply restarted the paper work for me. I got a great price, they were quick, courteous and it was a hassle free transaction, unlike other car dealers I have dealt with. I would not buy from anyone else!! THANK U SHOWCASE HONDA!!!
  • I wouldn't buy a vehicle anywhere else!!

My husband & I have purchased 4 vehicles from Showcase Honda. I have never had anything less than first rate service. I have personally met the General Manager several times during our purchases and when we have brought our vehicles in for service. The staff at Showcase Honda is always helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I wouldn't buy a vehicle anywhere else!!
  • STEER CLEAR - STEREOTYPICAL USED CAR SALES TACTICS

    1 out of 5 starsby goffer1 on 06/02/2009

The internet sales guys were awful. 4 guys were working me at once. Took my keys to value trade-in. Were very reluctant to return them. Moved my car so even when I got the keys, wouldn't know where my car was. Lowballed the trade. Tried to raise the price of the car of interest after minimally increasing trade value so as to keep the net the same. Kept trying different tactics, all sleazy. I overheard them speaking with the couple in the next cubicle. They were trying to raise the negotiated price after the deal was done.
  • Stay away!! Please Read if you are considering Showcase.

Honestly, this is the worst dealer I have ever been to. I'm 36 years old and have purchased several honda and acura vehicles over the last 16 years from dealers back east and in Arizona, this by far is the worst honda dealership. I love Hondas and Acuras but this place is not what I expect when I think of the Honda or Acura experience. Old dealership, outdated showroom, lot and service department. The sales force looks to be an average age of 28, not much experience and these guys are just starving to make a sale. Much of their inventory has been sitting for 100, 200, 300 + days. I recommend very close inspection for vehicle lot rot (vehicle which have been sitting around for too long collecting dust, dings, chips, scratches. The lot where they store and shuffle around their inventory is a gravel lot. Do you want your potential new vehicle to be driven and moved around many times over on a gravel surface? I don't think so, I know I didn't. This explains why so many of their "new" vehicles are chipped, scratched and damaged before a customer has actually even taken delivery. If you think you're getting a screaming deal, inspect the vehicle, find the damage and you'll figure out know why they made you such a "nice" offer. In my experience they made promise after promise and were unable to keep any of them. I received an email quote with Out the Door pricing. I went to the dealership to accept the offer they made and it was like pulling teeth. The vehicle which they attempted to deliver to me was beat up, dinged up and damaged. I honestly had to look the salesman in the face and ask, would you accept a new vehicle like this? No way. I didn't and walked away. I am lucky I did. There are many other honda dealers in the valley who know how to take care of their vehicles and have modern facilities. I honestly will not be surprised if Showcase gets closed down if Honda has to ever get rid of dealers like GM is doing now. If you go to Showcase, ask to see the lot, the back lot, ask to see the service department bays, not the waiting room but where they actually do the work. Ask to see vehicle cleaning and detail area. Attention to detail will tell you much about a dealer. I've let you know my experience, you be the judge.
  • Showcase Honda Best Price In Town

    5 out of 5 starsby gary1950 on 05/11/2009

I have purchased 8 vehicles from Showcase Honda and have always received the BEST treatment of all the dealerships I went to. Not only were the sales people very helpful with me an my wife but also gave us the best price by far than any dealership I went to. Steve Marion was my salesman and did a GREAT JOB in taken care of all our needs. I will only take our cars to Showcase Honda for service because they also do a GREAT JOB.
  • Another PERFECT SURVEY for SHOWCASE HONDA and STEVE MARION!

    5 out of 5 starsby rod0331 on 05/09/2009

Steve Marion did it again! Last week Mr. Marion called us and in a brief phone interview he found out what's the dream car of my wife and when we came to SHOWCASE, the car she wanted was already there, waiting for us, with exactly the same equipment and color she liked! He took all the necessary steps to get everything in line even before we crossed the door of the dealership. He made our buying experience simply wonderful and ridiculously simple. We were in-and-out of SHOWCASE HONDA in less than an hour, which is including all the documentation, licencing and title work in the finance department. THAT IS A HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL SERVICE! Last year, I took my son to SHOWCASE HONDA, where he traded his Prelude for a new V6 Accord Coupe. Mr. Marion was very enthusiastic and supportive, and he really listened to us, to meet our wishes. We were extremely satisfied not only with the deal we got, but with the overall experience at the dealership. And it was so positive, that I decided to buy a new Accord for myself only three days later! Now I'd like to say THANKS to Mr. STEVE MARION, Mr. TOM BUIS, and everyone at the dealership, who always render extremely efficient and highly professional service at SHOWCASE HONDA. To be able to do the job you guys are doing, one must be really really PASSIONATE about it! You treat your customers like a family and I appreciate the work you put into it. Thank you! Rod Glisic

RICK GOODMAN. I hate this guy. Really pushy guy and kept calling and calling, so I finally made an appointment with this guy. I already got the quote OTD that I wanted. I arrive on time and got the runaround. I guess I was not very important to the guy since I already got my quote. He sends me to an office and waited 35 minutes with no help. I finally just left. Appointments to this guy means nothing. He again keeps calling and calling to see if I have purchased a car yet. Sent more emails. I finally email him back because, he says he wants to get me the best deal. I asked for his best offer. He quotes me $29,300. Funny thing is a got a quote for $28,448 the week earlier. What a JOKE. I even sent the email with the lower quote, and finally he has not called or emailed back because I caught him in a lie. I finally realize Showcase really does not care about customer service. Do not deal with RICK GOODMAN, this guy is shady as they get. I still have the emails if anyone wants to see them.
    • I purchase a vehicle from Rick as well and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. He went out of his way to make my experience exceptional.. I would recommend this dealer to anyone. You will find frustrated comsumers everywhere but I just wanted to share our positive experience.

      by sedonalife on 12/06/2010

    • Rick alerted me that someone had said something a bit off online about him, and after some googling, was quite upset when I found this. I will not bore with lentgh, but I have not received any less than a perfect experience over the last 16 months during which I have bought 3 cars from Rick and Showcase. I've been a customer since 1989 and have not shopped or serviced my Honda anywhere else. My salesman retired 2 years ago and made mention of his partner that remained, Rick, and I have had no difference in quality of service and attention to detail since.

  • [violative content deleted] & Very Rude

1 out of 5 starsby socialkarma on 04/04/2009

Wow, I have now read three different blogs with individuals going through exactly what I went through. I had contacted the fleet department on a Tuesday and spoke with Julian, (fleet manager). I gave him all of my credit information. He called me back and told me that I had to make sure that I brought my PAID OFF trade in when I came down. I gave him the VIN number of the car that I liked on their web site, and he said that they still had that car and I could come down to look at it closer. A few days later I called him to let him know I was on my way down. He said the car was still there and he would see me shortly. I called USAA and gave them the same VIN number, they gave me a full report on the car including a Black Book report on the car and my trade in. My trade in was valued at 7900.00 for perfect condition, and 7200.00 for good condition. The car that I was looking at Civic LX sedan (Manual Transmission) was valued RETAIL at 10,200 for excellent condition, which was low compared to their 12,888 sticker price. I went down to the dealership with all of my info on my car and the civic, and Julian said I will be right back. He went and gave all of the info to his manager, and came back to tell me that they had just sold that car a few days ago. I was furious I just spoken to him hours ago and he said the car was still there. He then took me out to look at other vehicles. One of which was one that I had told him earlier over the phone I didn't like it, plus the Carfax report wasn't good at all. He then proceeded to tell me that it is harder to get financed for older higher mileage vehicles, but then started showing me hondas that were 2001's or 2006's with super high mileage, completely contradicting himself. When I told him no thanks he proceeded to show me some Nissan sedan with racing bucket seats racing shifter and a 21,000.00 sticker price. First I have two small kids, which he knew, second he knew that I couldn't afford a car in that price. I said no to all of his awful choices and we went back to his office. In came his boss and the real junk began. His boss then started to degrate me, and tell me for someone that was so picky about my vehicle preference how the heck was I driving a 2004 Hyundai Sante Fe? and he said that since I didn't like the dash in the new 06 civic's he would throw me in a dashboard cover. That did it for me, and so I left. A few hours later my family called the dealership back pretending to be someone else and asked about that car. The same manager that I had dealt with earlier said I think its still here let me go out and look and I will call you back. Twenty mins later he called back giving the VIN number, and saying it was still there. My family member then identified who they were and that I was in earlier and they stated the car was gone. The manager on the phone had nothing to say and hung up. A few minutes later the same manager called me, and tried to apologize, and then say that Julian was mistaken when he spoke to me, and my father, and that the car was really sold. He said that the car sold on March 7th, and I told him that was almost a month ago, and if thats the case why was it still on the site, and why were they still telling people it was there. He said that they hadn't redone the site yet, and I said that must be very bad for internet sales. He said that it wasn't anyones fault, that sales managers can't go into the software that he was looking at to find out the car was sold. I told him that was bull, and that he just lost business, and hung up. I can't believe that any dealership would treat people like this. To be lied to several time, and talked down to because of the vehicle that I currently have, and to just be talked down to is awful. In today's economy they should be happy with any sale they can get!
  • Stay Away!

We went to Showcase Honda after being assured by the internet sales person that they had the vehicle we wanted (specific color, specific trim, specific features) at a price we had already negotiated over the phone. After an hour and half drive we arrived to find that no such vehicle existed on their lot. First they made excuses- strike one. Then they tried to pressure us into buying another vehicle- strike two. Then they suggested the blame lay with us because we didn't communicate clearly enough with them- strike three. We drove to another dealership in the east valley and found the vehicle we wanted for a few hundred dollars more and a surprisingly pleasant buying experience.
