Repair
by 3r1c2009 on 03/22/2016I bought CPO and the next day found a crack sandwich in the windshield and was promised that I should bring the car back and they will fixed it. I brought the car back and the car spend 3.9 weeks at the dealership and no work was done.We are extremely disappointed to learn that your needs were not met with the adequate and prompt attention we pride ourselves on. I would appreciate the opportunity to learn more about this situation and work with you on a resolution. Please contact Wes Crown, Service Manager, at 877-267-6471. We look forward to hearing from you.
Not good service and bad communication
by Buckfarack on 03/06/2016This local dealership is owned by mega dealership conglomerate Sonic and it shows. The level of communication between service writers and customer is lousy at best. I was told on several occasions that they would get back to me via text or… telephone call and that did not happen as promised. Also I kept hearing how difficult the job was and this was why they had the car for such an extended period. The straw that broke the camels back was a promise that they would call me back this Friday afternoon to let me know if the car was going to be ready for pickup or they would get me a loaner as was my warranty agreement...(they claimed to be out of loaners the entire 6 days they had our car) and I'm still waiting for that call back! Very poor experience at the service dept. I think I'll drive fifteen minutes to go to Silver Star for now on.Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are extremely disappointed to learn of your experience with our dealership. Please contact Wes Crown, Service Manager, 877-267-6471 at your earliest convenience.
75K service on SL65
by dndyamashiro on 02/23/2016Calabasas Mercedes did a great job on my car. They emailed and called to keep me updated on things they found and gave me the option to repair. Awesome crew at Calabasas Mercedes!Great Team, Great Service!
by SubramaniamP on 02/10/2016I have purchased a new C300 in MBZ of Calabasas, had nothing but a great experience, sales consultant Slava worked with me for almost a month to make a deal happen at a "no rush" atmosphere, he is very knowledgeable and delivered… exceptional customer service. My family and I were really satisfied with the whole process. Mercedes Benz of Calabasas has a great team on board: sales managers Angel and Dominic, were very professional and attentive to my needs, they gave me the best deal on the market. Financial manager Mehrad was very informative and helpful, he managed to get me great deals on service contracts, went through all contract terms, all process went smooth and easy. Thanks to the great team of Mercedes Benz of Calabasas!Great Service!
by chris_c1 on 01/22/2016Thanks for taking care of us and for going above and beyond!Buyer Beware!!
by Chris_Cynthia on 01/20/2016BUYER BEWARE!!!!! We just bought a 2009 Subaru Legacy GT Limited on January 11th. We were promised that the car was in sound mechanical condition. As they stated, their mechanics were looking it over and checking everything while we were… going over pricing and terms. However, on January 14th, as my husband drove home from work, thick black smoke started pouring out and the car slowed down to 40 mph and wouldn't go any faster. He barely made it home, and immediately called the salesman at Mercedes Benz of Calabasas to let him know. It took several phone calls to get a hold of him and the manager. Reminding us that we signed an "As is" note, they agreed to tow the car back. We were hoping it was simply a minor problem. They towed the car back on January 16th, but just got back to us tonight, January 19th, to say that we needed to pay $4500 to get a new engine. They might contribute $1000 of that. What?!?!?!?! Our new purchase only worked for 2-1/2 days and there is nothing else they can do? That's not what the "As is" agreement is for!!!! They should be more willing to work this out and take the return of this car. They misrepresented the condition of this car in the sale. We were very impressed with our salesman, Antonio, and hope that he had nothing to do with this scam. We are very disappointed that Angel, the sales manager, and Thomas, the used car manager, are not willing to make this right.A huge thanks to Thomas and Antonio for taking the "high road" and taking care of us in this rare situation. If I could change the rating, I would because they made everything right!
great used car deals at mercedes-benz of calabasas
by jjjjjohnson on 12/03/2014recently bought a 2001 lexus gs430 from mercedes of calabasas...turned out to be a great car...started looking at their website ad about 3 months ago...along with one of their sister dealerships 101 acura west under their corporate… autonation dealerships...autonation has a lot of dealerships under their leadership...and i was looking for a car under $10,000 dollars...my research material were as follows: 2014 consumer reports annual auto issue..you can get it on ebay or a book store reviews from edmunds.com reviews from carsurvey.com and carcomplaints.com they had a 2001 lexus gs430 on sale for 8699.00...right in my price range...drove it...it was great...but had my poker face on...showing no emotions....got it for 8300.00...a slight discount..because they said they didn't like to change on their price...but i saved a little...i have had the car for a week and its been great...there is a few issues...like a rear door not locking....and the rear speakers are bad...not a big deal...will get those things fixed soon...overall a great solid car...breakdown on deal: price...8300.00 document processing charge..80.00 emissions testing charge.......50.00 ca sales tax ....758.70 regrist and tags..$0.00...prior person paid the tags for 2015...great regrist/transfer/tilting fees...15.00 state emissions certification fee.....8.25 total for car.....9240.95 down payment 1000.00 amount finance 8240.95 miles on car 100,300 bank wells fargo 6.99 interest rate PROS of the dealership: great used cars you can monitor their websites great agressive salespeople they do the minimum safety and re-conditioning on their vehicles saves you a lot of time vs going out on craigslist to buy a car from the public.. safety of dealing with a one stop buy a car dealership... many banks to choice from...at least on their part fill up the gas tank let you leave the car you drove there with on the lot til you can come back to pick it up CONS of the dealership: a lot of dog cars mixed in with their clean cars will have to settle for their financing bank to get the car very slow after they make the deal very slow finance guy want you to buy options and packages you don't need slow porters that get the car ready for you AS IS sale expensive warranties that are not worth the paper they are printed on in conclusion: research..research...the car you want inspect the car up and down back and forth they are not your friends they are there to make money so don't depend on them to get a great car if you get an older car...make sure it passes the consumer reports reliability reports on it...should be at least above average reliability in the consumers report annual auto issue..no less accept their hi-finance bank rate...just to get the car...you can always refinance later at another bank..because there is no penalty for paying off a loan early with another bank also my budget was low at under 10,000 dollars...but if you can move up to say...10,000-13,000...they even have a better selection of cars and suvs...Keep shopping
by 805MBZLover on 09/24/2014I've hit every dealer in the area trying to purchase a replacement MBZ after a van decided to flip a U in front of me totalling my car. Each dealer has their pro's and con's and I will try to review all I've gone to in an effort of… fairness. Having said that, Calabasas ranks 0/6 of dealerships visited in the last three days. Spent 15 minutes walking the lot completely, returning to my car to do research for another 10 in the parking lot, then entered and asked for assistance. Front desk stated that sales people were on the phone. Gave another 10 minutes of walking the inside of the building and looking at every car. Help became only available after I said my (pleasant) good bye and thank you, but help not needed now. If it takes more than a half hour to get basic sales help, I am fearful of the rest of their business practices.Hi there, First impressions are everything, and we are disappointed that yours left you fearful of our business practices. We strive to greet our guests promptly upon arrival, and apologize that this did not occur during your trip to our store. We would be more than happy to aid in your search for the best Mercedes-Benz and make up for our sour first impression. Please contact Paul Dodenhoff, Sales Manager at 818-591-2377. Thank you.
First Time Car Buying Made Easy and Enjoyable
by will_t_la on 08/27/2014I was a first time car buyer not looking forward to the uncertainty and intimidation of dealing with dealerships and pesky salesman. Fortunately, I couldn't have found a better place than Mercedes Benz of Calabasas to assuage my fears and… make the car buying experience both easy and enjoyable. Specifically, Ana L. helped me through the process, giving me all the necessary information in making the right choice, and making me feel comfortable along the way. She never made me feel rushed, and she was great in having me take my time and feeling free to ask questions. I wouldn't recommend any other place, and I am very grateful to have had my first-time car buying experience at the wonderful Mercedes Benz of Calabasas with the invaluable assistance of Ana. World class all the way.Unprofessional and evasive
by pfmartens on 03/02/2010We purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle from another Mercedes Benz dealer but all the service work was performed at this dealer. I was told by both the dealer and Mercedes Benz USA customer support to contact this dealer to get the… service records. I first talked to a service person whom I did not get a name who told me to call back and talk to Marsha Gay. After talking with Marsha she had Judy Harrigan call me who tole me to send in proof of purchase and the information would be released. After sending proof-of-purchase I received a letter from Ken Deneault, the Service Director, erroneously hiding behind privacy laws indicating they could not release the information. When I called back Mercedes Benz USA customer support they then contacted Mercedes-Benz of Calabasas and when MBUSA returned I was told it is up to the individual dealer policies (not laws) and MBUSA can not force them to provide the information. The entire experience is bitter as they are unprofessional and evasive and try to hide behind non-existent privacy laws. It seems that Mercedes-Benz of Calabasas has systemic credibility issues and I would choose an alternative dealer if I had the option.DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP
by crabber1 on 09/08/2009I recently contacted Mercedes Benz of Calabasas about a used 2004 Lexus ES 330. I spoke with Lewis in the Internet dept. We negotiated a price and I agreed. I live in Alaska and planned to ship the car at my expense. He said I needed to… provide a approval letter from my bank since I was getting my own financing to reserve the car. I provided him with the info he requested including a credit app, insurance and my DL. I WAS PROMISED THE CAR WAS MINE and not to worry. This happened on Friday. I called Saturday, Sunday and Monday (labor day)with no response. Finally on tuesday a sales manager took my call and informed me I was out of luck and the car was sold to another person. I was flat out lied to by these people. They will tell you what you want to hear and break promises. There is no way this place is worthy of your hard earned money. There are some great hard working honest people in this industry but not here. Find a Dealership that stands behind there word and cares about you whether you live in the area or 3,000 miles away. I spent many hours on this deal and got screwed.new management/ownership - same dubious salespeople
by shkerdhat on 04/09/2008I bought a car here and was told that the warranty that comes with th car was bumper to bumper by three of their employees the day i signed the sales contract. when the car needed repair, the so called bumper to bumper warranty turned out… to be a big, fat lie to push the sale. I contacted even the headquarters in north Carolina to complain and was told the misrepresentation of warranty was unintentional. How convenient for them!? How costly to me!? It cannot be unintentional if 3 people tell the same story. In essence they refuse to fix my more than $1000 repair and to add insult to injury, every person in the calabasas mercedes dealership seems to be an expert at rudeness.DO NOT BUY OR SERVICE HERE - DUBIOUS DEALERSHIP
by i_cr8art on 03/07/2008I was a fool who bought from this dubious dealership located in Calabasas. The vehicle was a Certified Pre-Owned 2004 sedan purchased in Jan 08. I also got the extended warrantee ($3,000.00 extra) which I was told by 3 different people at… the dealership it was a bumper to bumper warrantee. This was a bunch of bull that was fed to my husband and me. Fast forward to day March 08, huh two months! Wow such a short time! The pump that is in the seat broke, and guess what even though I had a CPO warrantee and an extended warrantee its not covered. I contacted them with no avail; I am now stuck with a $1,400.00 bill to fix the problem. DO NOT BUY AT THIS DEALERSHIP, RUDE, DUBIOUS AND ROTTEN. If I could I would give negative stars. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! I wish I could give negative stars, I can not!I would NEVER go back to this dealer.
by umpalumpa on 01/08/2008The area is Calabasas, fairly young and wealthy part of L,A/Ventura. This dealer seems to know this and takes advantage of that fact. The people that I met there were EXTREMELY rude (when/if they ever even talk to you) Its like going to an… expensive restraunt in a snobby area and having the waiter be rude to you. Pretty laughable. They offered me a RIDICULOUS lease deal on a car. I may have money, but I don't like to waste money. Perhaps its simply because Mercedes doesn't offer attractive lease deals on cars in general, but I could have done without the poor service and snobby behavior. I shouldn't have to walk into a dealer wearing a fancy suit to get someone to talk to me. You never know who you are dealing with - especially in Los Angeles. Don't go here unless you are extremely rich and like to waste money. Take a nice drive out to Orange County (old money) and go to Fletcher Jones. I ended up leasing a much more expensive Lexus that day for a way better lease price.Tarnish the MB Name
by slee328 on 07/19/2007I am a first owner of a 2002 ML500 and I took my car in to check on noises from the back of my car. They told me that the rear differential bearing wore out when it was only 2 years old and they called for a warranty work of replacing the… rear differential bearing. However the noise was still persist couple weeks after the repair. Later, they told me that the noise came from the uneven wear on the cupping rear tires. Then the plastic piece wrap around the front driver seat broke (dislocated) from the side attachment to the seat. I took it in for service when the car was only 3 years old. The service manager told me that that item was not under the manufacturer's warranty and refuse to service this defect. However, I have not found any information that I received from the warranty informaiton indicated that this part is excluded. I called MB customer relationship in NJ and they told me the warranty work has to be determined by the service department of the dealership. I wrote to the service manager and took pictures to indicate to them that this part was not designed right and the material chosen would easily break from climbing in and out of the front passenger seat for about 2.5 years with a 150lb body. They have no ineterest in look after this issue for me and told me that I have to pay for the replacement and labor in order to have it fix, even if my car was within the warranty period. I do not understand how this can happen. This is the least treatment that I would expect from a MB dealer. I told them. If this happens to a Lexus, the dealership will take care of this issue without even asking. Just for this kind of lousy service and dealership service attitude, both MB of Calabasas and MB USA will lost a customer for life. I told me wife that this ML500 was my first MB but it would be my last MB as well. Although this happened more than a year ago, I would like to raise a concern to the service of this MB dealership and the quality of a MB. Overall, very bad experience for me. This dealership only focus in the quick $$$$ and not pay attention or listen to customers. I would not give them any more of my business. Instead, I have Silver Star of Thousand Oaks services my ML500 now. To me this is just dumb business practice and no wonder Lexus is kicking the behind of the MB.EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE-competitive pricing
by savvyshopper4u on 06/22/2011updated 06/03/2025I had an excellent experience with purchasing my new MB here. I was given price quotes over the phone and when I arrived at the dealership, the car I wanted was already sold. So, instead, Jeremy went above and beyond to competitively price… a superior vehicle than the one I was planning to get. He even beat the COSTCO price. Overall a win-win situation. I am very pleased with my car, the sales process, and I will return to this dealership again to purchase my next car.Outstanding Customer Service
by Mehran_S on 08/02/2013updated 06/03/2025Outstanding customer service! I was searching for a 2013 C250 over the phone for my mother-in-law who could not move around because of a broken kneecap. No Mercedes dealer seemed to have the basic model with little options. Finally, I… called Mercedes of Calabasas. 1) They had 2 of those cars. 2) I told the m the price I was willing to offer which was quite low. Within a half hour they called me back and accepted my offer, no questions asked. 3) Because of my mother-in-law's medical condition, they agreed to deliver the car within a few hours to her house which was quite far. 4) My in-laws had to turn in another Mercedes because of end of lease to swap with the new car. They also took the old car from their house after delivering the new one. 5) Their attitude was incredibly pleasant and nice, despite the fact this deal was quite complicated. I'm truly impressed by their staff, especially with the eSales Director, Jenna C., who made my car shopping experience so pleasant and flawless.Such a waste of time!
by obsequi on 05/23/2014updated 06/03/2025I contacted this dealership through Edmunds. Vernon wrote back, but kept sending me random links to various E-Class styles and writing, "How about this one?" He'd never included any specifics about the cars, any pricing info, or lease… terms. Finally, he said he wasn't in the office, and he'd have a manager contact me with an offer. I received an e-mail from Jeremy, the Lease Retention Manager, for a car of a different color than I requested with much less on it, options-wise, than I'd asked for. I wrote back saying the car wasn't what I was looking for, and never heard from them again. This place just gave off the tone of "We So Don't Need Your Business, We're Not Even Going to Bother Looking For a Car That Matches What You're Looking For....Just Take What We Send You". I lease a car every couple years, and expect the dealership wants to work to earn the business. This dealership didn't seem to want to come to work, let alone earn anything once there.Hi Obsequi, We strive to match all of our customers with a vehicle that meets all of their expectations. We sincerely apologize about the frustration you have experienced in your pursuit of a new vehicle. We would be more than happy to answer any and all of your questions at your convenience. Please contact Phillippe Naveau, Sales Manager at 818-591-2377. Thank you.
Very unhappy Customer
by mkolby on 11/07/2012updated 06/03/2025My wife and I purchased a used 2000 Grand Cherokee from MBZ Calabasas last week Tuesday and were very excited about it being our third fun vehicle. I wanted to inform you that the vehicle was not as promised and has some major issues. It is… currently at Tuttle-Click Irvine having $4000 dollars in repairs completed almost what I paid for the Jeep.. It is a shame that the certified MBZ techs missed these major visible mechanical issues and miss lead me into purchasing this vehicle with one of them being a major safety hazard. I cannot fully blame Raoul because he is not a mechanic and has to take the word of his techs. I do understand the risk in high mileage used vehicles but it will be hard if not impossible to refer or do any business with this dealership with such major over sights in the future.Someone will be reaching out to you soon to find out more about this issue. As you know, this particular vehicle was sold as is at a heavily discounted price. We strive to clearly communicate all aspects of a sale, and I apologize if you feel there was any misunderstanding
What a great experience!
by ebillet on 06/25/2013updated 06/03/2025I just leased a 2013 300E Cabriolet from this dealership and got an amazing deal. After visiting several dealerships I decided to go with them. The deal was right where I needed it to be, the employees were friendly and knowledgeable from… management to sales to finance to service. I could not be happier. I would definitely recommend this dealership and now consider myself a life long customer! Thanks Jenna and Zeev for your help! See you when this lease is up!Great Place!
by gilbertspencer on 06/19/2011updated 06/03/2025I've got to say that I had the most pleasurable experience ever with my car purchase this week. I was really expecting a sleezy salesperson and bad experience but to my surprise Mercedes Benz of Calabasas was absolutely top-notch. I was… greeted by a salesperson who was very friendly and the new General Sales Manager, Sean Fortier, got involved very early on. He made us very comfortable and handled us through the entire sales process with kid gloves and gave us a great deal! I will refer all my friends and family to Sean and this dealership. Awesome Place!
Izza, we are so pleased you enjoyed your visit to Mercedes-Benz of Calabasas! Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you; we are more than happy to help!
