Awesome service department!

In addition, he also gave my car a detailing which made it "brand new" again at no extra cost. Koons' motto is "We're Gonna Wow Ya,"… and I never considered what that meant until I got service at Koons. Thanks for the excellent service!Excellent Car Buying Experience
by docray1 on 12/18/2013updated 06/11/2025We went into the dealership knowing the vehicle we wanted and had approved financing with a great rate (that even the salesperson said would be hard to beat). The salesperson (Mandu) was very accommodating and patient - and we took out time… and selected the exact car we wanted. Then, the finance manager (Kelli) reviewed our deal and unbelievably, was able to beat our previous deal and offered a better rate. Even more so, she was so friendly and genuinely interested in ensuring we were pleased with our purchase. Lastly, both the salesperson and finance manager followed up with us after the purchase. We've bought a number of new vehicles over the years and this was definitely one of the best experiences we have had. I HIGHLY recommend this Koons of Tyson's Corner. Great staff who genuinely care and no high pressure sales tactics.Fast and Furious!
by G_3 on 10/22/2013updated 06/11/2025Fast and furious (in a good way)! I had to buy a new rig as I was transferring (military) back to the West Coast and wanted a nice ride for the trip. Travis F. answered my phone call. I was calling all the area dealers to find exactly what… I wanted. Most just wanted me to to come down and listen to them and look over all they had in stock. Travis was different. He listened intently as I described what I was after as if he cared. I started to get apologetic as I described in detail the color and features. After I said I was sorry for being so "picky"....he said, and I quote, "Hey, don't worry about it, "picky" is what we do". He was sincere and I was hooked. Honestly, the entire experience was crisp, clean and exactly as I needed it. I felt his skills were key to bringing me into Koons and keeping me there. I am confident in the purchase I made and would highly recommend Koons and in particular Travis. The vehicle was a super nice ride across the country. Thanks for the great work to your entire team and my compliments to you all for creating such gratifying experience! by roger_jenkins on 07/19/2011updated 06/11/2025I used to like Koons, but then I bought a 2005 Cobalt from them and the radio went on the fritz 9 days later and they refused to fix it at no cost to me! 2 days over the return period and they won't fix it. That shows poor customer service.… I don't think that I'll ever buy a car from them again. I bought the car at Koon's Tyson's GM. The used car manager told me he could do nothing for me, but he hoped this didn't leave "a bad taste in my mouth", of course, it did. I mean, a couple hundred dollar repair over the $8,000 dollars I spent? Shame on you Koon's.excellent extension of services for difficult issue

They allowed an extended level of access so that I would understand and be comfortable with the work performed. All pending issues were… fully taken care of as promised. Having only had the vehicle on the road for less that 1000 miles, i have nevertheless found some other small Vehicle issues which i fully expect they will take care of for me during my next service visit. In my opinion it seems the Service Dept. at Koons Tysons will prove to be as reliable as Koons College Park and Koons Owings Mills were for me over the last 2 decadesThank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. They did not have the exact model I wanted, and where not willing to make any concessions to please me. They did however do a good job… explaining the financing, and when the AC stopped working 2 days after delivery, it was fixed right away.Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. Greed and tired sales ploys all-in-one
by rupyoda on 06/19/2011updated 06/11/2025Koons exemplifies why people hate car dealers. Call them about a car that interests you and go for a test drive, then the games begin. First, the old "salesman holds onto the key, then a manager comes looking for it to show a couple very… interested in buying it" routine. Then, the salesman disappears with a folder before discussing a price, though attempting to push you into maker financing (remember, people--"ally" is GMAC with new branding). You stand up to look around the showroom, and the car hasn't moved from where you left it following the test drive, and no manager or interested couple is around to be seen. Then, the salesman returns and bullies on GMAC financing, finally spilling that Koons wants a $5,000 premium on the Volt above MSRP--"Your credit union isn't going to finance the premium, but [GMAC] will!" The vehicle remains on their inventory after the close of business, though their "cyber gray" demo listed on Chevy inventory has been replaced by a viridian vehicle.2012 Volt is in showroom--Only--not drivable

The "Volt-expert" said they were taking orders for future delivery and they did not have one to test drive because as soon as one came in it is sold… immediately. When I got home, another Koons email was asking me to test drive the Volt. After I told them of my experience, the internet rep told me to come in to test drive the Volt and that he would custom order the car I want. I think the internet guy needs to speak to the showroom Volt-expert salesman because I do not think I am going to order a $46,000 without first test driving one.We are so sorry to hear about the miscommunications that occurred during your visit to our dealership. Love my 2012 Volt

After being jerked around by another Chevy dealer for 4 months to buy a Chevy Volt, these guys had me in and out of the Dealership with the car I wanted in about 3 hours. No hassle. I got the car I… wanted at the price I expected ( I would've hoped for more on my trade-in, but what the heck). I've had the VOLT for 3 + months (over 3000 mi) and only have had to put gas in it twice!!Thanks so much for writing this positive review. Good Treatment, Fair Deal

Not long after I bought the SUV the sunroof started leaking. Dave arranged for the roof to be fixed and let… me use a loaner while it was being repaired. No charge even though I feel like I got the absolute best purchase price possible. Would not hesitate to send friends or family to this location.We really appreciate you taking the time to write this review. Excellent Service @ Koon's Tyson's

He was no pressure and available to me day or night. As an example I forgot my second key when I bought my brand new Chevy SS and Dave… offered to bring it by my house! Please note that I live almost 20 miles from Koons. I'm in IT sales and i make a living off of Customer Service. Koons knows customer service.
