by ldavis05 on 03/14/2015I saw a vehicle online and sent an inquiry email. I received a prompt call and set an appointment for the same day. While I wanted for for salesman everyone was very friendly and checked on me while I waited. I set the tone for how I wanted… to proceed and what I was looking for and my wishes were followed. I found exactly what I wanted and my salesman Kenneth was never pushy and gave me all the time and space I needed. The finance process was quick and smooth. I was very impressed and pleased! I will be getting another vehicle for my wife shortly and I will be back!Horrible
by Dilly13 on 02/15/2015Today we went to Planet ford in Spring, Tx with the intentions of buying a new truck. Jordan who was our salesman never took responsibility and could only make excuses for why it was taking so long. He also made mention that it wasn't a… good idea to go to a car lot on Saturday because of the time wait. We were clear when we got there at 2 pm today that we had a 5 hour drive home so we didn't want to make this a long process. They did the credit app at 3 and had all of our information and the vehicle info that we wanted to purchase. It took them till 720 pm for them to tell us they couldn't get a deal closed. It was frustrating because they already knew our credit history and score. They should know their lenders and know if they would accept the deal. With that being said we will never go there again and will never recommend them to anyone. Due to their lack of knowledge and respect to their customers. We went in a test drive at 5pm and we were told that our file was the next in line. Well our file got to the finance mgr desk at 7pm and it took all of 20 min for the finance manager to tell us he can't get it done. It was very disrespectful. We know it takes a while to purchase a vehicle but the run around doesn't work well when we're clear upfront and honest....Whole new level of deceit
by RBlades on 02/09/2015II think what happened to me brings deceit to a whole new level. I brought my car (2013 Fusion) in on Monday, January 26th. When I started my car I had warning lights that pictured: airbag problems, hill assist problems and a message… that said auto trac needed to be serviced. Planet Ford is the closest to my home, so I brought it in. I was told it would be a day or two before it could be looked at, as I expected. I explained that my car was under warranty and I’m sure whatever it was should be covered. My Service Advisor phoned me a couple of days later and asked me if I had run over anything. I told him no. He asked me if I was absolutely sure. I told him driving about 80-85 and if I had run over anything I’m sure I would have known. The next day he called and asked me when was the last time my car had been wrecked. This upset me as I bought the car Certified Pre-owned and thought that should have been declared. I told him it had never been wrecked and even asked him if he wanted a letter from my insurance company. He said it looked like the airbags had been deployed before. The next day I was told that Bondo was found on my car. Dealing with a woman, I’m sure he thought I was ignorant, which I was. My husband said that didn’t make sense because they would have to have paint off to see if it had Bondo on it. At that point, I was very upset and told him to just fix the car and then I would look at trading it in and buying a new one. He then offered to speak to someone about getting me a trade in value and to help me look at new cars. Wait, it gets better. He made it sound like my warranty would not cover this problem, as it was probably caused from “the wreck”. When I got upset because I thought I bought a good car, he told me he was going to do his best to have Ford cover this problem, since I didn’t know the car had been wrecked. He stayed in touch with me and constantly said he was working with Ford. He said he couldn’t guarantee anything, but he was going to push for them to cover the problem. Oh, I forgot to mention my car was at Planet Ford for eleven days, which put quite a burden on my family. I was then told he had searched the nation for a computer to test my car. The story then changed to I needed a module which was in production and that Ford would overnight the part as soon as the first one was off the production line. Finally, I was called on the 11th day and told the part came in and I could probably pick up my car at the end of the day. He called about 4PM and said it was ready and I didn’t owe a thing, that Ford Motor Company agreed to cover my expense. I was thoroughly excited and told him how much I appreciated him working with Ford. I even offered to bring him a bottle of wine to express my gratitude. I told my husband just to drop me off and I would thank the kind man for everything he did. I am so glad I did this, because my husband would have probably been kicked out after seeing what the whole problem was after all the lies that we had been told. I got to Planet Ford about 5:30 and looked over my paperwork. I saw that all the problems were from a recall, not a wrecked car or running over anything. Needless to say, I was a bit upset, again. Naturally, David was not there for me to speak to. Amber, who is fantastic, offered to call a manager, but I felt it would be better for me to calm down first as I was on the verge of tears. I was thinking if it was a recall, why keep my car for 11 days. Why not just tell me that and call me when the part arrived? I felt like the biggest fool for believing outright lies for 11 days, by this man, who made it sound like he was going out of his way to help me. I went home, put in my VIN number on the Ford Motor Company website, and low and behold, there was the recall! Imagine that!! It showed the exact problem that I had, warning lights coming on, and that there was a problem with this module. I then paid for a history check on my car and guess what? My car has not ever been wrecked. Besides messing with my head and keeping my car for 11 days, I paid for a car history for no apparent reason! On another note, one of their employees is the absolute best. I have to give kudos to Amber Davila. This young lady was nothing but professional and kept her cool very well. The day that I brought my car in, I waited for 3 ½ hours for a shuttle home. After waiting 2 hours she called David and he acted like I never told him I needed a shuttle. I told him that I had no idea where the room was that he told me to sit in, so why was I in there if I was not instructed as to where it was. Another 1 ½ passed and Amber started making calls and finally got me a shuttle home. I was not happy with this service, but again felt after all David’s hard work working with Ford on my behalf, I could overlook the time I sat waiting. Last night when I came in, needless to say, I was not a happy camper after looking over my paperwork and seeing that my car sat there for 11 days when I could have just brought it in when the part arrived. Then thinking of all the deceitful, conniving lies I was told made things even worse. Amber, once again, was very patient and professional. I thanked her for her help and told her she was the only star at Planet Ford. I’m not sure why all of this happened. I think people expect salesmen to be con men, but not your service advisor. It’s almost like he was living in a fantasy world and pulling me along for the ride. We are still in the market for a new car, but won’t be buying it from Planet Ford. It’s hard to believe that this would happen at some place that I thought was reputable. My story will be spread throughout Spring and Houston, so this won’t happen to another ignorant person.DISAPPOINTED
by Sandrakni on 02/04/2015So disappointed when we arrived at Planet Ford 45 this evening after being told by Mr.Diaz the truck was available that we were looking at. We arrive and the truck can't be found and another gentleman tells they loaned it out. I told him, I… drove from Magnolia and my husband drove from Memorial, he then said the truck is kinda of edgy anyway. I think if I was going to buy a truck it's my decision to decide if it's edgy or not. Will not buy anything from Planet Ford nor refer anyone to do so.Smooth
by Rcheath on 01/30/2015Chris (Internet Sales) handled everything great. No pressure. Clear with information. Addressed issues we had. What else do you want?Slow, second time wasn't better
by Atpappy on 09/13/2014After reading the reviews sent to me via email from the dealership, I thought I would place a review. I went in for my oil change, I had my son with me, I thought It wouldn't take more than an hour and all would be well. At the 2 hour… mark I went and asked the service manager what the deal was, he informed me they are driving it around. 25 minutes later he pulled the car up. When I mentioned that my previous experience was poor they didn't do anything. I spent extra money for the service of a Lincoln and would not ever do that again.Bad Experience
by Mikekingwood56 on 08/03/2014Went to the 59 location on 8/2/2014 to buy a new car. They looked at my current vehicle for a possible trade in. When getting ready to leave be notice our inside passenger handle missing. They broke it off as a sales tactic. When… complaining to the manager they just saw it as an opportunity to throw more numbers at us. And at the very least we would have to come back to get it fixed. Worst buying experience of my life, I would not recommend doing business with this company.Such A Deal
by john_46 on 07/28/2014Recently bought an Explorer Limited from Planet Ford in Spring. Went there for a test drive but ended up buying the vehicle because I had the best salesperson, Big Ben H., that I have ever had in my 40+ years of buying cars in multiple… states. Big Ben didn't apply pressure. He didn't need to. Big Ben knew his product down to the smallest detail, and he knew that sharing that knowledge would get me to "talk turkey". Big Ben got me a great price on the Explorer and a great deal on my trade. I have never looked back. Do yourself a favor. Go to Planet Ford and talk to Big Ben H. You'll be glad you did!Worst customer service ever
by SamS99 on 07/07/2014If it were possible to give a less then one star review, I would. The Planet Ford service center is the worst service center I have ever dealt with. They had my vehicle for 3 business days (5 days total) and didn't think I cared enough to… get an update on it. I had to call 4 times in one day and speak with a manager just to be told what was happening... Best part, my car was done (with what they could do anyway) and they waived a fee I had no idea I'd be charged. Hah... Thanks Planet Ford and the service center manager Cassie for nothing. Never again.Deceptive Sale
by jaguilar4 on 07/08/2014If Planet Ford is a reputable car dealer as they claim, then they research vin numbers on used cars. They sold me a vehicle with a recall that was expired, they did not fix it nor did they tell me about it. After a week or so of the… purchase, my sun roof started leaking, so I took it in and they told me the sun roof drains were clogged and they took care of the problem. Now I find out that there was a recall on the drains and it is expired. Massive amounts of water leaks into my sunroof every time it rains. This is unacceptable coming from a "reputable" dealer.Completing the deal...
by sisco50 on 08/08/2013updated 06/16/2014Due to my time constraint on my first visit to purchase a new vehicle I had to make a second trip a few days later. This was handled very well by all parties involved and the purchase process was completed with satisfactory results in a… timely manner.service [violative content deleted]
by ron178 on 10/28/2010Techs do not check their work. I have had major problems with my 2008 fiord 6.0 diesel engine. My problems started when the engine had about 65000 miles on it. At about 65000 miles the engine blew up. I tried to get them to install a long… block but they would only do a short block. My truck currently has about 80000 miles on it and in that 15000 miles I put on the truck since the engine blew up, the truck has been in the shop more than on the road. About 2 weeks after they replaced the engine, the truck went down when water got in the oil. They replaced the timing cover b/c they said it was leaking. About 2 weeks later, the same thing happened but this time thay blamed the oil cooler. Then several weeks later the turbo went out and thay repaired that. After picking up the truck, the turbo went down again 3 days later. I decieded then to take my truck to a different dealership in the hopes to find a competent repair facility. We will see but Planet Ford techs need to go back to school. There attitude is "do as little as possible" in the hopes the owner will put more than 100000 miles on the engine so we can charge the hell out of the customer b/c the repairs will not be covered under warranty.Decieved and Peeved!
by ryleesmom on 09/14/2010After purchasing my second used car I realized just how different dealerships can be. This dealership sold me a truck that was far overpriced and in fair condition. They made it look like they were my friend until I signed the paperwork.… After that all bets were off! I was blatantly direspected by Joe and have had to give them truck back twice for repairs. After going through the paperwork, they changed the sale price to around $600 more then the original deal without informing me. They offered me below trade in value on my car and made it seem like they were doing me a favor by allowing me to trade it in! This it total BS! Supposedly used vehicles go through a rigourous inspection yet they seemed to have missed the cracking tires on mine as well as the leaky tire. All but one speaker was blown in the car and the paint has scratches galore. Now I would be okay with all of this if I was getting a killer deal but I did not. I paid close to 16000 for this truck so I should have been given a quality vehicle. If you want a GOOD dealership- go see Craig at Demontrond in Conroe. They gave me an excellent price on my trade in, terrific purchase price of the new car and nothing needed work on it! Well it did need a new sway bar but they repaired that in one day and gave me a rental car plus reduced the price to compensate for my time. NOW THATS A GOOD DEALERSHIP! To be fair, I am still working with Planet ford 45 to fix all their mistakes. Lets hope they fix them without hassle- which so far they have not.Save yourself a headache and grief!
by shameonme on 06/18/2009I originally leased a car from this dealership a couple of years ago...that was the first disaster! They didn't even know how to do a lease, we had to tell them their numbers were wrong only to have the finance employee get down right rude… and say he had to trust his computer!! That is the short version. I went back ONLY because I was turning in my lease early and purchased a car. That was over a month ago and they have still not made payment to pay off the car I turned in. It is my credit they are messing with! They seem to avoid the phone, not give a straight answer and are completely incompetent. They keep saying it is being taken care of and will call to confirm it is complete...guess what folks, we are on day 2 and they still haven't called. Furthermore, when I went to buy the car they came with a different price than what we were working for, when all of a sudden they were able to do it after saying they couldn't. The tag teaming is incredibly obvious and annoying! I will NEVER buy another car there (which we do every few years) and will encourage anybody I come across to run as fast as they can from Planet Ford! I am from Ford country and will continue to buy Ford, but not from there. Did I mention, I haven't received the phone call stating my plates are in either. The customer service they offer is ZERO! They want the survey to come back as "completely" satisfied. HA, completely unsatisfied!I feel i must warn people
by rener on 05/11/2009I just bought a car at Planet Ford on I 45 in Houston, Tx. I could not imagine a worse place to buy a car. The sales man lied to us and tried to tack on charges he would not explain when we confronted him about them. The finance guy"Timmie… Dowdley" Raised the cost of the car believing no one would notice then tried to tell us a $8400 car was going to be $385 a month for 60 mo. When i called him on this, it seemed that they had tacked on charge after charge without ever discussing it with us. and then they talk about giving me a referral fee for sending them clients! I feel like i should press charges against them, not refer them! DO NOT BUY HERE!Worst Ford dealer in the houston area.
by drobuck on 11/01/2008My time with Plant Ford began when I read on the internet that Ford was putting at $2000 rebate on the new 09 F-150. I then called Planet Ford and spoke to a sales woman named Elaine. I asked her if she had any 09's in. She said yes and… asked me what I was looking for. I told her only wanted a extended cab 4x4, that was either blue or red. She told me that she had plenty to choose from and that I should come down and take a look. After work I drove down to Planet Ford to pick my truck out. I asked for Elaine and after about 2 minutes of looking they told me they couldnt find her. I then met the only pleasant person at the dealership. My new sales woman was Francis (or Franceyn), I asked her about the 09's and she informed me that they only had 3 on the lot. One was a STX regular cab, and XLT crew and a King Ranch crew. The tons to pick from was a slew of white fleet trucks. After I told them that the only one I might be interested in was the XLT crew and it was out of my price range they told me they would get it there. I told them my price and they said they would make it happen. After a few hours of crap they came to a figure that was $130 a month over my asked monthly payment. As I was getting ready to leave the manager came out to try and close the sale. Although he was super super pushy I didnt mind his methods. He was funny and didnt try to lie to much. After I said no thanks he shook my hand and told me good bye. I walked outside with Francis and was saying good bye when another sales man that I had dealt with in the past came out and started to talk down to me because I didnt buy the truck. He asked me why I would waste their time and made a scene infront of my friend that had come with me. I have already bought a truck from them in 06 and did not appreciate being called a waste of time because I didnt want to pay sticker for a truck. I then told them that the only reason I came was because I had heard they had PLENTY of trucks to choose from, so it was them who wasted my time. Overall this dealer is not run by people I want to give my money toCompleting the deal...

by james254 on 08/05/2012updated 06/08/2025Still have the same problem, they could not fix it!Most stress free buying experience EVER!!!
by cousincakes on 10/28/2013updated 06/08/2025We have bought a few cars, both new and old. This was the quickest and most stress free buying experience we have ever had. We told our salesman that we would be there on a Saturday. He told us how busy the dealership is on Saturdays so at… the last minute we decided to go the Friday before. The salesman made sure one of his associates helped us and followed up with us the following day. Every aspect was perfect - the initial impression via the website and phone conversations, the refreshments offered while we waited, the play area for the kids, the onsite insurance set up, the extra features offered, the very patient and informative finance rep, and the short amount of time needed to complete our purchase. I would have purchased from another dealership the day before, but I had the feeling that he doubted that we would be approved for the loan. I am thinking this was because I was very concerned about my monthly payment amount. The reps at Planet Ford understood and respected that I am a very cost conscious consumer. Great inventory for any and every buyer. We will definitely be back for our next vehicle.Great Selection
by strlw on 12/11/2013updated 06/08/2025I drove in from South Louisiana and Craig met me within 5 minuets. I had spoke to him and made the deal on the phone. He was very attentive and I had an exceptional experience with him. The rest of the transaction was way to slow but I… really don't know how long it is suppose to be as this was only the second new vehicle I had ever purchased. The dealership was exceptional and I would recommend anyone to it. Thanks Craig it was a pleasure.New Car Purchase
by james254 on 08/05/2012updated 06/08/2025Almost nothing was done, the way it was described by Internet. And the sales force did not even show me how to use the features on my new auto! Even worse I had to go to another dealership to learn about the features on the auto I purchased… from Planet Ford.
