Techs do not check their work. I have had major problems with my 2008 fiord 6.0 diesel engine. My problems started when the engine had about 65000 miles on it. At about 65000 miles the engine blew up. I tried to get them to install a long block but they would only do a short block. My truck currently has about 80000 miles on it and in that 15000 miles I put on the truck since the engine blew up, the truck has been in the shop more than on the road. About 2 weeks after they replaced the engine, the truck went down when water got in the oil. They replaced the timing cover b/c they said it was leaking. About 2 weeks later, the same thing happened but this time thay blamed the oil cooler. Then several weeks later the turbo went out and thay repaired that. After picking up the truck, the turbo went down again 3 days later. I decieded then to take my truck to a different dealership in the hopes to find a competent repair facility. We will see but Planet Ford techs need to go back to school. There attitude is "do as little as possible" in the hopes the owner will put more than 100000 miles on the engine so we can charge the hell out of the customer b/c the repairs will not be covered under warranty.
